This takes a while to work, but it does work. The first time I used it I waited 2 hours to flush the drain and it still ran a bit slow. So I treated again the next day and left it over night and that did the trick. I have had issues with the bathroom sink since I moved into this house, and I have tried many drain cleaners over the last 2 years and a specialized plunger for small drains and yet was unable to fully clear the drain. I thought I would give this a try before calling a plumber. This seems to have done the trick, things are running as they should at this point.

Totally useless. Poured entire gallon in multiple tries to remove bathroom sink drain. Ineffective. Later tried another brand containing sodium hypochlorite which worked on the first try.

The tub has been slow to drain recently, so I went looking for an Enzymatic product that was easy to use and I think I've found one. Within 3 days we've noticed that the tub is draining much better (i.e. visibly draining faster, we can now hear it "gurgling" which I think indicates the water is draining faster, and we now get that "whirlpool" down the drain. The trick is to READ the instructions, and that is to first dilute the mixture and pour it down the drain ( I didn't do the follow up of rinsing with warm water). I did this for 3 days (planning on 7 days of this). After this I think you can just pour a cup of this stuff down the drain. This is what I actually did, I used a 1 gallon bottle fillled it up with water, poured enough (I took a guess) of the enzymatic stuff (enough to see the water change from clear to slightly green/yellow) and poured that down the drain.... I didn't do a follow up of adding a rinse since I figure I have more than enough with the 1 gallon bottle. I did this for 3 days and plan on continueing till I run out of this bottle. I'm going to make this a twice a month routine to keep the drains clear. Make sure to read the instructions though... this worked for me.

The product did take a while to work, however, by following the directions and persistence, it really paid off. Unclogged, and so thankful. Now I put the recommended amount down the drain once a week.

We are on a septic tank and have had a bad odour coming from our upstairs shower for 9 months. Tried loads of things and no joy. This was our last resort before calling in a plumber. We have gone through a large jug in approximately a week and the odour has pretty much gone. Putting it in the shower drain as directed after morning showers and letting it sit til the next day and repeat. We have just gotten another jug and will cut back on frequency. Saved us alot of hassle with a plumber and is septic friendly.

Had a clog in my drain, did not work one bit, followed all instructions. Also used some in my laundry room drain and it smelled horribly bad the next day. This ain’t cheap either, so I was sad it didn’t work one bit

This product was not highly effective on its own. It certainly did not work opening our kitchen drain where Drano Max Gel Drain Clog Remover and Cleaner (at around half the price for 3.8 L) did that job. We then started to use Instant Power Enzyme Drain Cleaner several times within a 2 week period until the bottle was finished, in an effort to keep the drains open. That did not work well (no full opening of the drain at all) until we used the Drano Max Gel again. So, frankly, we have our doubts about the Instant Power Enzyme Drain Cleaner, which we used exactly as directed (clearly indicated on the bottle label - in that quantity and more / during times where the drains were not heavily used). Perhaps your clog is of another nature and perhaps it works well for you, but for us the use of this "Instant Power Enzyme Remover" cannot be called a success.
