Updated 9/7/15 Leash lasted only 2 months. It is jammed up and will not retract. Return period is only 30 days, so I am out my $$$. Lasted 2 months. I am very disappointed and would not buy or recommend this product.*************************** 7/12/15 I am impressed with the quality of the retractable dog leash I bought from Bonafido Pet Supplies. I previously bought 2 retractable leashes from Walmart and 1 lasted about 2 months and the other lasted all of 2 weeks. In both cases the internal retracting spring broke. The leash from Bonafido has worked fine. I walk about 4 miles every morning with my small dog, Betsy, who weighs about 15 pounds, She enjoys the extra freedom that a retractable leash provides. It allows her to smell interesting things along the trail while I can keep walking and keep my exercise pace. Bonafido was fast with their shipping. I received the leash 1 day earlier than I expected. I would recommend this product and Bonafido Pet Supplies to you if you are planning a purchase.********************************************

This is an excellent retractable leash. It says that it is rated for up to 44 pounds, and it works well for our 15 pound puppy, but I also use it for our 60 pound boxer and it holds her just fine too. She doesn't pull on the leash, but we've been on many walks and this leash has been great for her even though she's above the weight limit. If your larger dog pulls you may not be able to get away with sharing the leash like we do.The braking system on this leash is wonderful too. The brake button can also be pushed up easily to lock the leash. I've tried other leashes that had two separate buttons for braking and locking, and this system is definitely superior! The large handle is nice for my husband, who has larger hands than mine, and we both find it to be very comfortable. We usually walk our dogs about 3 miles every day and neither of us have had any issues with the handle of this leash becoming uncomfortable during the walks.The free waste bag dispenser is also great, and it came stocked with bags! It is easy to refill and very convenient. The two free e-books were also a bonus for us as we have a 12-week-old chocolate lab that we're working on training. This is an all-around great product that we would definitely recommend!

I am always looking for good products for my furry kid and her other retractable lease was starting to get worn. So after seeing this brand on believe it or not, the price is right, I was happy to find it here on Amazon. Price was very reasonable. Once I received the lease I was happy to see that the quality was really good, especially compared to some of the other brands I have used in the past. The lease feels solid, easy to use and will last awhile. The bonus free poop bag holder was good because my others either break easy or never fit the handle of the lease so I am left carrying it separately which can be a pain. Once I added the led light I had also purchased, to make it easier to see my furry kid at night, I was ready to. Highly recommended

I've gone through several retractable leashes for my two cocker spaniel mixes. These are a great ribbon (versus cord) leash that's light weight and comfortable in the hand. I ordered two and the one seems to "stick" in the locked position more easily than the other, so I deducted 1 star for that reason only. I wish these came in longer lengths than 16' as my dogs LOVE to run in an open field area near my home, but can't be off leash. Also, the waste bag dispenser is a nice little addition that I didn't need to purchase separately. The bags are poor quality, but there's a twist off end cap on the dispenser so you can easily replace them with a thicker grade plastic disposal bag. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this retractable dog leash !

I bought this as a gift for my brother in-law and his daughters (my nieces), who have a large old-english sheep dog. I tried it out with them, and wow -- we all agreed that this thing is awesome for all fellow dog owners in so many ways! Its really comfortable in the hand -- my brother in law is a big guy, and he mentioned how happy he was with the handle size compared to his other leashes. It was also comfortable for my smaller hands so it's clear that this was designed very well for all! We also loved the features -- the one button for both brake and lock is great. Its so easy to use...push to brake, and slide up to lock. Both of these actions can be done with one hand and the functionality is well engineered so that it requires just the right amount of pressure -- not too little where you hit it by accident, and not too much where it becomes a hassle to use. And the adjustable length is great...it really gives you tremendous flexibility to set the leash to the length that best fits your dog and the specific situation you are in -- need your dog closer when you are in more crowded public spaces? ...great, just reel it in and push the lock. Have more space and want to give your dog some more freedom? easy, just release the lock and extend up to a long 16 feet! No need for multiple leashes of different lengths anymore!Its also worth mentioning that this product is clearly high quality and works great even with larger dogs like an old-english sheep dog. The construction feels durable and I expect it will last a very long time, even with a very active big dog pulling on it all day. And it looks great too! The design is really nice and my nieces love the pink color!All in all, my brother-in-law and nieces love this leash, and they said they're so happy they can now get rid of all their other leashes that are cluttering the garage.
