I feel like I want to fist bump this machine.
I just got it and used it for the first time today, and I already have built up a strong fondness for this machine. Itโs solidly built (in America!) and just does what itโs supposed to do. I imagine this machine saved us several hours of awful, tedious work as we pitted and processed the two five gallon buckets full of cherries we picked, compared to using one of those little clamshell pitters. I never write reviews, but this little guy deserved his props.

Easy assembly, easy cleaning
Easy assembly, easy cleaning. Works better than all the other cherry pitters I've ever tried. I used it with big sweet cherries, and it worked great. Warning: some pits will survive, but far less than with all other pitters I've used. Plan to use it next year from the very start of cherry season.

It is not functional
Absolutely junk. It is not even worth a penny. Everything uses the lowest grade/cheapest sheet metal that are not stable and useless. After doing only one pound of tart cherry all my problems started. It either gets stuck or shoots the pit 10 ft with a splash pattern on the floor. Even the first lb had about 10% pit in it. Which makes it worthless for pitting cherry. It is a health danger for breaking your teeth or swallowing the pit. I am returning mine asap. Also the item doesn't include the pit catcher as it is shown on the picture.

This cherry pitter is amazing! Helped with my canning immensely however couple improvements can be made: I wish they had another bigger size tray where cherries go for pitting ex rainier/Bing cherries are great however sweetheart cherries are to big for the tray and have a hard time getting pits out. Another thing the tray that catches the seeds I wish it was bigger bc lots of cherries seeds falls to the sides of it and I wish the tray was made with no slits in the side but made to be spill proof bc you get juice from cherries that goes all over the counter instead of staying in the tray. Besides that I pitted over 80 lbs of cherries with this machine it did a great job and saved me sooo much time pitting by hand!

The real deal if you want to pit a lot of cherries
After trying a plastic hand-held pitter, which immediately broke, and then a plastic tray pitter, which also immediately broke, I bought this stainless steel pitter. Yes, it costs much, much more, and it's bulky to store, but it really does pit cherries quickly and successfully and it's fun to use, no less. I have now canned 30 lbs. of brandied Bing cherries, which would have been nearly impossible without this cherry pitter. Wear black (to prevent cherry stains) and know that juicy cherries will make quite a mess on your kitchen counter.

Love how easy it is to setup and use
4 cherry trees so using my new cherry putter was great. Very easy to setup, get pitting and then cleanup. Only change I added was to use aluminum rectangle pan to catch seeds and a smaller tray for cherries that fall out while pitting. Life got much easier this season.

Best purchase ever
This is the best cherry pitter ever!!! I pit 5-8 cases per year (18lbs each) this pitter makes light work of it!!! I would buy it again. I freeze dry them and freeze them & also dehydrate them.

Does not work with smaller cherries
Doesn't work with smaller cherries. Cherries are snagged by the plungers and are not removed after they stick. Cherries no longer look like cherries, they look more like they went through a blender. Operation is slow.
