Works Great for HD598/599, M40x
I've ordered maybe 8 cables from NewFantasia/NeoMusicia now for various headphones and they've all been great. Beefy enough and built well enough to send the signal unhindered. Zero change in sound from the stock cables on any of my headphones including Sennheiser HD580 and AKG K712 Pro. NewFantasia/NeoMusicia are great because you can get them in 5ft which is a rare length. I'd recommend looking at these if you just need a different length cable. Audiophiles looking to get that last 1% out of their gear should probably look elsewhere. Solidly built cable. Only very slight microphonics from the nylon braid on clothing. Nothing that bothers on a desktop amp. Nice upgrade in practicality from the 9ft spaghetti cables most headphones come with. Using on a desktop setup with a Schiit Asgard 2 amp. Fits a little tighter in the headphone than the stock cable but still fine. Works and looks great on my HD598s, HD599s. These also fit the M40x and M50x perfectly as Audio Technica uses the same locking lugs as Sennheiser. I ordered one of these for my M40x as well and it works great. As for durability, don't beat on these cables. Just treat them nicely and they will work for a long time. They aren't super tough but they're fine for desktop usage. They really aren't intended or built the right way for portable use. These might not have perfect QC but when you get a good cable they're totally fine. There are several similar cables floating around the internet all using parts from similar OEMs and the ones from this seller always seem to use the best of the available parts. Especially the headphone-side end connectors. They're mass manufactured and cheap but their design means a good one is a good one. They're just copper cables with soldered ends and gold plated connectors. Not much can go wrong. I really like these. Perfect cheap upgrade to make any pair of headphones a little nicer to use.

would reccomend
i broke my oem cable on day 2. this one has held up great. its been a few months with it and have had 0 problems. i use it with my sennheiser hd 550 and have had 0 issues. the cable is definitely not a bottleneck. i really like the material they use the the durability it brings it. i think its a great value and i can see why its one of thr top listings on amazon. the connector also has the lock and it works great. sound quality sounds just as it did with orm cable.

best option available
I've tried a few replacement cables for my sennheiser hd 560s but this is the only one that is actually worth it. The other options ive tried are extra flimsy and anytime I touched the cable it had a chance of causing static or audio cutting out. Quality audio and well made product.

Great replacement cable.
Works perfectly on HD558s. Quite a thinly wrapped cable and it does end up looping around itself quickly. Bought as a short cable to use on my tablet. Just happy to find a shorter cable as the OEM one is at least 10ft long.

Quality Braided Sennheiser Replacement Cable
This cable is a perfect replacement for the original one that came with my Sennheiser HD 550 headphones. At 3 meters it’s a far more practical length. The cable is braided and appears to be well made. Recommended, especially for the price.

Consider Other Brands
Bought this product 8 weeks ago and worked great for the first 7 weeks. During the 8th week the audio started to cut out.

A cheap throwaway cable for desperate times.
The HD558's are great headphones, especially if you get them at the right price. However, an unfortunate run-in between my pupper and the original cables left them torn to shreds in a moment of stupidity on my part. I went ahead and purchased these cables in the hopes of finding a decent replacement that happened to have a native 3.5mm jack. The mantra of "You get what you paid for." rang true many times over the course of my time with two of these cables. Pros: - They're inexpensive. The price was sadly what I was looking for at the time and I made the assumption that if I purchase two, they both couldn't go bad in the time that it would take for me to get an actual replacement. - The sound quality is decent while it works. It isn't a one to one with the original cables, but unless you're discerning to the point of audiophilia (at which point I would question why you would purchase these or the 558's) a lot of details in higher bit-rate music are still going to come out with quite a bit of clarity. - They're convenient. The original Sennheiser cables aren't as convenient for on the go listening as official Audio Technica M50x cables since the world outside of professional recording and audio setups doesn't revolve around 6.3mm jacks. It's nice to not have to carry around an adapter just in case I want to listen to something on the go. Cons: - Really poor build quality. What seems to be a common running theme with a lot of these off-brand cables is that they'll work fine for about the first couple of months, then either general wear and tear or a simple aggressive pull out of a jack absolutely wrecks the cable to the point of unlistenability. Audio will start dropping out of one or both channels. Some odd hissing or incredibly high pitch whine will pop in. As somebody who has accidentally smashed a cable of Shure IEM's in between a car door no worse for wear, the lack of resilience to everyday activity is kind of a let down. Sure, you could try bending the jack back or fiddling with the input to try and make it work like I'm doing right now, but after a while and a fair amount of more cables, you'd probably be better off buying the official cables in the first place, or at least not this mediocre off-brand. In short, if you're really desperate for an emergency cable that'll get the job done for a short period of time, these cables will suffice. Otherwise, just save your money for either the real thing or be prepared to play more fiddle than whatever garbled, clicking, hissing noise you're listening to after a few weeks/months.

Outstanding cable for the price... that was received in WELL under the estimated delivery time to boot.
I am writing this with the assumption that you know there are other options out there, and that Sennheiser makes one of them. When I bought this cable, I was coming off of my second 4 foot cable (for my HD558's) direct from Sennheiser. As everyone knows, the stock cable is WAY too long for anything but home theater use, so I immediately replaced it back in 2011 when I got these cans. Usually I love everything they do, just about to the point of fanboyism. I do not approve however, of that cable replacement they sell... Both cables I have bought from them (the 4 ft model, for the HD558) have torn in the exact same place... just under the earcup... from VERY minimal use, as far as removing and installing goes. I travel maybe 6 times a year, halfway across the country, and i remove the cable when I do... Yet both of those have torn in that SAME spot, right next to the locking end. And WHY? Because it is all soft plastic there, a decision I never understood. Fast forward to buying this cable: I knew when I bought it that it was either going to be great, or a total stinker... And wonder no more, it's a keeper. The braiding is tight and attractive. The terminals are heavy and feel durable. The locking end has a textured hard plastic (maybe aluminum?... not magnetic at all) grip, which makes it easy to install AND remove. They even had the foresight to put springs on the outer terminal end of the cable, to keep pressure off of that area... something that would otherwise will kill a cable good and early. I have NO worries whatsoever, after a few days use, as to whether this cable will hold up for years to come. In short, I could not be more pleasantly surprised. For those wondering, audio quality is indistinguishable from the Sennheiser brand cables. I live in AZ, and the cable arrived in under a week, when the estimate was more like a month. I am sure tha can fluctuate based on time of year and your location. This is definitely the cable you are looking for. P.S.: If I had ONE gripe, it's that the cable wants to curl a bit when you move. I am using it with devices that are close to me however, so it has not posed a problem. If you are someone who stretches out the cord a bit, this may be irritating for you.

Great Cables - Clean, Solid and Awesome Value
Great cables. I bought these as a replacement to my broken Sennheiser HD569 headphones’ cable. At a quick test and some listening to music at low and high volumes, the cable appears to be sonically clean with no hiss, distortion or other audio artefacts which can sometimes occur with cheap cables. The build quality seems solid - with its metal plugs, fabric-looking outer sheath on the cable itself and doesn’t seem to do that ‘loopy/tangly’ thing the plastic sheathed cables do at times. The only downside to some people is it doesn’t have the in-line microphone like the original Sennheiser cable had - but that doesn’t affect me so I’m giving it five stars. Also, the delivery was quick and even with a public holiday during my delivery period, I received the cables in three days. I bought two of these cables because I was skeptical about the quality but I don’t think I’ll be needing the second cable for quite some time (unless I lose the first one).
