Cat Amazing Sliders – Puzzle Toy for Indoor Cats – Treat Box Interactive Maze – Enrichment Feeder – Best Cat Toy Ever!

I've had this for a few years now. It is finally starting to fall apart but that was after being use by multiple cats, and a child, for about 2 years. I have many cats in my home at one time and am always looking for affordable ways to keep them entertained. This was a great option. Its easy to add treats to the box, but takes time for the cats to work them out. Its lightweight and easy to move around and open if you need to take pieces out and clean.

Edit: raised my review from 3 to 5, heres why: 1) i learned they donate a toy to shelter cats for each review, and thats just friggin cool, man. In my book, its good business to give back like that. 2) while my kitten has for sure been able to bite holes in the cardboard, and even tare it in a couple spots, it has held up remarkably well in the few weeks we’ve had it. I don’t think its actually ad flimsy as i first thought it would be. And; id rather teeth holes in cardboard, than chipped teeth from chewing on plastic. 100% recommend. Mischief muffin approved. Cons: -some of the parts came pre-bent in places they’re not meant to bend, which made them go together funny. -its made of fancy cardboard. Id likely be able to make something similar from an exacto knife, and the TCG card storage boxes they sell for a couple bucks at game stores. -because its just cardboard, my kitten has already ripped it in a few spots. Not to the point where its ruined, but just enough for me to grumble about the quality for price. Pros: -its a clever design, and its cuter than what i would probably put together -theres a link to a little book about indoor cat enrichment, which im looking forward to gettin some ideas from -interestingly enough: it’s cardboard- because it’s cardboard, its light enough for my kitten to push around and get all his mischievous energy out without me worrying he’s gonna get hurt. No chance of splinters, or getting hurt on a corner or anything like that. MOST IMPORTANTLY-it kept my INCREDIBLY food motivated kitten busy for quite some time. He keeps walking away, then going right back to it. I only stuck like 6 treats in there, and he’s still working on it. This kid is less than a year old, but he has mastered the hardest treat puzzles we’ve been able to find for him in minutes after we set them down for the first time. Over all, I am glad we’ve got it. Its keeping the mischief muffin busy, im gonna end up feeding him fewer treats for the same amount of play time, and the hamster pattern is really cute. I also like the “don’t declaw!” Message on the bottom, with a link to sites with alternatives. I may be a touch disappointed in the quality of material, but id still be tempted to replace it once the cats shred it. My cat is happy, so im happy.

Positives: My cat loves it so far, keeps him entertained for a while. It was easy to assemble within 10 minutes. Negatives: Pretty expensive for something made of just cardboard.

It was super EASY to put together given a little history putting together my son’s toys for years. The instructions are simple but clear and the product is easy to figure out. It fits together with one strip of tape, and uses the tabs to fit into slits design to keep everything together for playtime. They included stickers to keep the boxes inside closed and from opening with time & play. My cat isn’t food more toy motivated vs food motivated and seems to prefers just the box without the treats in it. Would highly recommend this to anyone - especially those with indoor cats who need extra stimulation, challenges, and playtime.

First, let me say I know I put this together correctly because I followed the instructions and then watched the video instructions and rebuilt it just to make sure I got it right. Here are a few problems with the design : 1. Not all of the holes will line up. 95% of the holes seem planned and intentional while 5% has a circle going into an oval or something like that for no reason. 2. The insertion tabs have gaps. I fixed this by sealing them tight with packing tape. 3. Even with the tabs sealed better, by design it will make groves on the edges. So even if my cat worked the treat down to the bottom, she couldn't pick it up because if she pulled it to the outer wall it would dip into the groove and would barely move. Even I had trouble picking up a piece when I tried to show her...and I have hands! 4. Smooth surface will slide on any type of flooring. For a cat,this is precision work and any push or pull will have this this sliding away from them constantly. 5. You "insert" the treats by just dropping them in from the top and hope they fall into challenging spots instead of just falling to the bottom and getting stuck in the grooves I already mentioned. I love the concept but design execution is horrible. 1 simple thought to prove this is built poorly. Wouldn't it make sense if the bottom was all one piece so there wouldn't be grooves and treats wouldn't get stuck? It's so bad that even when I decided to pack it up to return I flipped this thing all over and it still took about 5 min to get the treats out. Save your time and money

Three stars for the quality but the size is impossibly small for an average sized cat. I had to take the inner boxes out for my cat to be able to get inside the box and even then it’s a tight fit. It’s also hard for him to reach the inner boxes so he wasn’t really interested.

10/10 great product. After my 7 month old kitten figured out the first box within a day of understanding what it was, I was delighted to buy him this advanced puzzle box hoping it would keep him busy for more than 5 seconds so I could drink my coffee in peace. The step by step video for assembly is a godsend and the design is so clever. I also love the cat stickers! I find I have to be purposeful about where I place the treats vs just stuffing them in the “treats” opening but he gets a limited number of vitamin treats so it might work better for a feeding time. I tried putting food/kibble in it but that did not please my tiny dictator. It used to take him longer but now I get about 3-5 mins of peace and quiet but he also plays with it at night which keeps him from waking me up to play. Sometimes he just walks by and beats it up a little to show it who’s boss. I’ve been traveling to see my parents and it’s held up great for multiple trips. One of the little puzzle boxes inside unfolded a bit, but I blame my tiny gremlin and it was easy to slide it back in while he glared at me suspiciously. Now that he is trained on speed/agility and retrieving things out of tiny spaces, I can only hope he’s a benevolent dictator. If he’s this smart at 7 months who knows what he’s capable of! I would LOVE a puzzle box that was even more difficult but I don’t know if that helps or hurts me in the long run 😂 Definitely a great gift and a great purchase if your cat is both smart and stubborn like mine. I do suggest buying the easy and hard box at the same time so you have it ready to go when they solve the easy one.

If you think you're smarter than a cardboard box, rest assured, you're probably not (or at least I'm not!) I'm one of those people who doesn't like to read directions; I can figure it out... I did look at the directions, but didn't watch the video before I started putting this together, which was my mistake. I would really recommend that you watch the video. I started folding the purple box (reading the printed directions) and one of the flaps tore. I stopped and pulled the video up on my phone. I can't stress this enough: make sure you have your finger/fingernail on the opposite side of the cardboard when you are folding (along the line you are folding.) There are lines in the cardboard to make folding easier, but don't trust them to be strong enough to fold straight along the line without support from the back. I think that the purple box flap tore because I didn't support the back of the cardboard when folding. The lack of support from the back of the line also caused the flap to fold in the wrong place which affected how the box (didn't) close. So, support the cardboard from the back side along the "line" you are attempting to fold!! The yellow box folded easily and stayed shut. The smaller boxes (green and purple) would not stay shut when folded. I followed Andre's (guy on the video - I want a T-Shirt like his!!!!) recommendation to fold the last flaps on these boxes firmly at a 90° angle, but the boxes did not want to stay closed. The manufacturer should consider putting a tape strip on the edge of these flaps as it seems to be an issue for many people. I ended up having to use good quality packing tape to keep the flaps shut. That was disappointing, but it was the best solution I could come up with. I am going to contact the company about this and will update this review if I get anything resolved. The outside box was easy to put together (again, support the folds from the back) and very sturdy. The yellow box that is inside the plain white box fit perfectly inside the outside box and makes the entire structure sturdier. The quality of the materials is very good. Yes, it's cardboard. I don't understand people complaining that it's cardboard. My cats LOVE the cardboard scratch pads, and I don't know what one of them would do without his cardboard "Scratch Lounge"! In the end, this is for the CAT(s), not the human, so who cares that it's cardboard? It's sturdy and the cats really love it! I've bought other food/treat puzzles and even with the good ones (like the Trixie Activity Fun Board), my super-smart kitty remembers how to quickly get the food out after he learns the puzzle. With the Cat Amazing Sliders, the puzzle is fluid and constantly changing, so there is no chance that he can remember any set pattern. If the challenge goes away, I will update the review and let you know. Is ~$18 too much for "a cardboard box?" We live to serve our tabbies, so the answer, in short, is NO, it's not too much. The quality of the materials and the fluidity of the challenge for the boys warrant the cost. It's heavy enough to withstand some abuse but light enough that it's easy to move to different rooms. After reading this and watching the video you should be smarter than the cardboard box, so go ahead and buy it for the kitties you are here to serve. I guarantee that you'll be their favorite human (for awhile, at least...) ------------------------------------ REVISION June 8, 2020 ------------------------------------ I'm changing my rating to 2 stars from 5 stars. My cat still loves this thing and would spend hours playing with it. Unfortunately, he ends up with bloody arms. The cardboard edges keep slicing his skin open. We have had to trash it as repeatedly bloody paws occur with use.

Update: this is a favorite toy for my cats out of everything I've ever bought them. They sit or loaf next to it and stare at me until I refill it with treats. They clearly have a lot of fun "hunting" with it. I was worried it would be difficult for them but they picked it up quick. It's a good way to keep them entertained while I'm working. It's also holding up well despite regular use. My cat loves the regular puzzle box from this brand (with self made modifications to enlarge the holes) so I got this one to challenge him further. This one has similarly overly small holes that make it hard to push treats over and out of the box unless your cat has tiny paws. But it's not a big problem; since it's just cardboard I can easily cut the holes larger. It's easy to assemble and the cardboard is thick and sturdy. My 13 lb cat sometimes lays on top of it for cat reasons and it hasn't broken or collapsed.

My cats love to play with it only when I put treats inside.

It's a lovely piece of kit. BUT it's pretty useless for treats as they falls to the bottom and a cat can't scoop them out. Also if you have a large cat they won't be able to navigate the hole to internal box ratio.

Amazing toy for curious young cats. Drop treats inside and see how entertaining this tool os for kittens

The product is as expected but I guess I have to do some " education" in that regard with my cat as she doesn't seem very interested in it despite the treats being inside the box.
