Pricey but they do attract wasps - when placed in the sunlight.
My initial review was one star, because these traps were not working. After about a week of watching them fail I decided to move one into the sun, et voila! Two days later that one was clogged with wasps, the sun facing side anyway. I flipped it around. Now they are both in the sun.

very pleased with this wasp trap.
caught so many wasps it's insane. it says hang horizontal for carpenter bees and vertical for wasps in the instructions, so i hung one in a tree vertically and one near an old tree stump where the carpenter bees nest. well, to my surprise, i discovered my area has not just yellow jackets but paper wasps as well, because the yellow jackets go for the vertical trap while the paper wasps like the horizontal trap. horizontal even caught a queen. forget the carpenter bees, for wasps this trap was amazing. would purchase again.very sticky, purchased around the fourth of july and they've held up very well, no issues with animals trying to get it and if hung high enough children won't be able to get at it either so the safety level with this in your yard is high. it's a decent size, and considering it's only $20 for the 2 pack and it's done it's job at catching the pests in my yard, i'd say get this item if you don't have a nest to spray at around your property but you still want to eliminate the issue. very worth it over all.

They work. Period.
They work. Period.Honestly...that's all you need to know. This summer, for the first time (in many years) we had a bit of a wasp problem in our backyard. Our family likes to hang out in our yard, so I was concerned. These traps were a wee bit more expensive than some of the other choices, but I needed to get something that was effective and worked. I hung both traps, about 25' feet apart from one another. I was interested to check them periodically to see if they were working. I was stunned at how effective they are. Within about 10 days, both traps had probably 200 wasps/trap. I removed the traps, discarded them, and ordered two more to finish out our summer season. They're quick and easy to assemble and hang and...they work.

Expensive, but they work
Easy to put together and they work relatively well at catching wasps. I hung one next to each of my hummingbird feeders, and I no longer have wasps on the feeders, but lots of dead ones on these traps. They are very sticky and do a good job at catching and keeping the wasps. They are a little more expensive that what I would have expected, but I will by again for next year.

The only thing that has worked!
We've had a serious wasp infestation for the last 3 years that we've lived in our house. I've spent entirely too much money on bait traps and Wasp & Hornet sprays in that time, and nothing seemed to help. They've been coming back worse every year, so this year I thought I'd try these, as I've seen several neighbors who have these, and they never have problems like we do.The very first day I put these out, I caught SO MANY wasps, it was actually disturbing. I'm pretty sure I have killed off several entire colonies with these, and now when I'm out in the garden, I only have to deal with 1 or 2 wasps buzzing around instead of BIBLICAL SWARMS of them. Amazing! My favorite thing about these is that they seem to be either specially formulated to attract wasps, or I just don't have many bees yet, because this has not caught any bees, even though it has caught several flies and a couple of small spiders. I did not intend to kill bees with this, so I'm very happy that they seem oblivious to this sticky trap. It has also not caught any birds or bats, thank goodness! The photos are from the first 2-3 days after I put these out. I have caught many more since! Will definitely buy these from now on.

Amazing for yellowjackets
I'm not sure what it is about these that works so well but they do. Had yellowjackets making a nest under my deck and needed to get quite close to spray it (deck is 2.5 feet off the ground). I bought these, put one together, and tossed it under there. 24 hours later this is the result - 98% of them in the trap. I only saw a few that didn't get lured in flying around. Was able to get under there and spray it with no stings. Used one last year after finding a ground nest as well and it caught them all in a matter of 2 days.

Great product but needs improved for bird safety!
These work like an absolute dream even through rain, etc., but with one severe design flaw! If you have birds that are small insect seeking birds like wrens- they will get stuck to it because they can get between the mesh. I wish this company would design a finer mesh size so that birds don’t get stuck in it! I feel really horrible because we lost a nice little house run to this very issue with one.

It literally got rid of a genuine infestation of bees
This works fantastic, genuinely can not recommend it enough.I only moved into my house this past fall so I had no idea how bad the bug problem was. So much to my horror the second it started warming up I was met with a genuine carpenter bee infestation. I think they were nesting in the roof of my car port or my garage. I couldn't step into my backyard without having at least one chasing me around. And just trying to walk to my car I had roughly six to eight of them literally buzzing around my head. It made mowing the yard difficult. It made bringing in groceries impossible. They were constantly harassing my dog.I had tried some other traps and sprays but they were barely working at all. The infestation was so bad I had sneak out in the middle of the night to even put the trap up.I put this up and I have not dealt with them since. Absolutely zero bees. It's a miracle.I was a little worried because it rained the morning after I put it up and I was concerned that the rain would ruin the stickiness but it didn't effect it at all.And it started catching bees almost immediately too.I was at my wits end and genuinely had very little hope that this would actually work and was dreading having to spend the money on an exterminator.Highly recommend it if you're struggling with the same problem.

Great product
These things are the best wasp catcher on the market, hands down. I had a nest of about 4,000 yellow jackets in the wall of my house. I risked getting stung and tried about $150 worth of wasp killer spray which maybe killed about 50 or so wasps. The problem was that the entrance to the nest was about 15 feet high and the nest was in the wall about 10 feet from the entrance hole, so, impossible to get at the nest and I was very worried about them getting inside my house. I purchased 2 of these traps, attached them to a telescoping pole from my roof snow rake and simply leaned them against the outside of my house over the entrance hole that the wasps were coming in and out of. The wasps were drawn to the colors and within 2 days, the traps were full. It took 4 more traps but within a week, no more wasps. I'll never spend money on spray again. And these work on other insects too, such as lady bugs, box elders, etc.. I'm thoroughly impressed.
