I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. I love items of this nature, but frequently the craftsmanship is adequate only because of the lack of availability of better artisanship. This product exceeded my expectations. It is well made; solid, attention to detail, good color infused in both handle and blade, the mechanism is solid and works well, all the parts fit together smoothly, it closes solidly, and when opened the blade locks into place securely. Also, the blade itself, while being beautiful to look at, is quite sharp and very serviceable. I have only had it a week, but have used it quite a bit, and find it to be an example of practical art. It is both useful, and beautiful; more products should aspire to satisfy practicality and aesthetics simultaneously. Dark Side Blades seems to have managed to achieve this. As I stated, I have only had this for a week, and as use and time progress I will keep track of the quality and update my review accordingly. I do have hope however that this product will live up to my current expectations; and if so, I anticipate additional purchases from this company. Can't believe this was only 10 dollars. I would have paid double that for this. It's incredibly sturdy and well built. The screws are tight and it's very well put together. I see allot of other reviews saying the knife is too hard and even impossible to open but the I one I got flips open with ease. Maybe there is an inconsistency with the product or maybe some people just have weak fingers IDK. The pictures don't do it justice. It's much prettier in person especially when the light hits it. Fits comfortably in my hand well and easy to handle. Performs all the tasks of a knife of course. Perfect for self defense as the look and sound alone is enough to scare most people away. Easily the best $10 dollars I ever spent.

Just received this item today. (Thank you for the lightning-speed delivery, Amazon!) This knife seems to be well made and is definitely worth the price. The colors and design of it are very unique, pretty and fun to stare at, especially in the sunlight :) It has some good weight to it. The metal is actually carved, not just printed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that like other buyers, I'm finding it difficult to open. You have to press very hard on the "wing" to do so. It makes the task slow and awkward. Forget trying to flip it out quickly for use in an emergency. I'm going to try what another reviewer suggested: Remove the hinge screw, use Locktite when putting it back in and then WD40 to make operation smoother. Folding the blade back up is much faster and easier than opening it. This is done by pushing sideways to the left on the lock mechanism at the bottom of the blade. All in all, not a regretted purchase! :-)

Absolutely stunningly beautiful knife! And the quality and craftsmanship is just as exquisite as the obvious visual beauty! It has a lot of weight to it. Not so much, as to be too heavy, but, enough to feel assured that you are wielding an undoubtedly high quality, well made knife. I was a bit concerned, prior to receiving my knife, as I had seen quite a few reviews that mentioned the knife being difficult to open. I specifically wanted a spring assisted knife, to eliminate that very issue. I needed not to worry! I found the knife to be very easy to open, with a simple bit of downward pressure applied with my thumb, to the little piece that curves down from the top of the handle. It actually opens with a very satisfying quick 'flick' and a nice little click as it snaps into place, locking it open. That action really gives an impossible to ignore, attention grabbing effect to the deployment of the blade. I can't wait to show off my beautiful new knife, tomorrow at work! I simply can NOT believe I got such a beautiful, quality made knife, at such a great price! Simply unbelievable deal! If you are considering purchasing this knife, DO IT! You WILL NOT regret it!

I bought this as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend because the one he had the tip broke. I chose this one because of the color and design and man did I choose well! When I gave it to him he was super happy! He loved the dragons and how sharp it was! He was able to flick it open without even a struggle! I did have a hard time opening it but I went through the reviews and did what people said about using the 2 tip like things at the end of the blade to help open it. He has no problem flicking it open with one hand!! He absolutely loves it. I am so thankful that I purchased this for him. Thank you so much! It is very sharp as others have stated. My boyfriend poked himself with the tip of the blade when I gave it to him. He's fine but just thought I should mention it !

This knife is so cool! It looks great, feels great, and is super sharp. It is a little stiff and takes some getting used to for closing it, but it opens easily which is the important thing. It looks just like the picture. I got it to have next to my bed to help me sleep sounder and not be terrified of every little noise at night. It came super sharp. I wasn't careful enough looking at it when it first arrived and barley hit my hand with the tip and it cut me. If you are careful (like you should be with a knife) it is safe. Since I haven't had any home intruders yet I can't tell you if it will intimidate them, but you can use it to cut up boxes, open packages, cut string, and much more.

I love this knife. Definitely used more for decorative purposes, but it will definitely get a job done. It is kind of hard to get open so if you are going to use this for self defense or for a quick job, it may or may not be the best option. I have it in my purse for self protection (which I highly doubt I will ever use), of course I did say it is hard to open and definitely not the quickest form of self defense, but if it gets the job done it is worth it. My knife came in pristine condition and everyone who has seen it loves it. I can't say this knife has the sharpest blade because it doesn't. It still is excessively sharp, but if used often it will dull (like any knife). I have noticed when cutting things like those plastic tags off of clothing, it is not quick in doing so, but this might also be due to the curve in the blade. I personally love it and it serves it's purpose. Although for those looking for a heavy duty reliable knife, I am not exactly sure if this would be the knife for you. This knife is more for decorative purposes and basic uses rather than constant heavy usage.

Einfach hübsch

Achei linda, parece ser bem resistente. Apanhei um pouco pra retirar a lâmina. Tem que, ao mesmo tempo, empurrar de um lado do gancho e puxar o lado inverso. Chegou aqui em Porto Velho em 05 dias, muito antes do previsto. Ponto negativo: Não achei bem amolada. Pelo menos tentei cortar um papel e demorou um pouco, tive que fazer o movimento de serra para poder cortar o papel.
