WEN CL436R 4-Inch Right Angle Clamp for Woodworking and Pocket Hole Joinery

This is a must-have if you use a pocket hole jig. The vice works great for holding joints together while attaching them with pocket-hole screws. Also, it keeps the boards from wandering out of alignment while screwing them together. I wish I had bought it sooner.

I have been messing with pocket hole joinery for a little while and finally decided that I needed to buy a right angle clamp after one too many boards twisting on my as I was screwing them in place. I could never bring myself to spend money on the equivalent Kreg clamps before, but came across these and figured it was worth a shot as I have had success with other Wen products in the past. I was slightly worried about these clamps due to them being so much cheaper than the Kreg brand. I was pleasantly surprised. I have never tried the Kreg clamps so can’t directly compare them, but I can say that these clamps are extremely well made and have a real quality feel to them. They are very heavy duty, have a nice grip to them, and I have had no complaints about their clamping power. I built some garage storage shelves out of 2x4s using pocket hole screws and these clamps helped me keep everything square every time. If you use pocket hole joinery at all these clamps are definitely worth the convenience. I can’t imagine the Kreg clamps being worth the extra cost over these.

Works as they should. I debated on purchasing these clamps until I put a driver bit into my thumb while trying to hole the material with standard clamps. Definitely worth the money.

Well worth the price and functional. Will do the job I need them for and while perhaps not the highest quality I’m satisfied.

These clamps complement pocket screws by stabilizing the joint when you tighten the screw in the pocket. They make edge joinery a joy. The only thing better than one clamp is two. Put a clamp on each side of the pocket hole that you are screwing and your joint will not move!

If you are using pocket holes for joining wood at 90 degrees, this clamp is a must. It will hold your workpieces in place while you drive the screws and costs half of what the jig manufacturer wants for theirs. I bought just one, as I can only work on one joint at a time, but a spare is probably a good investment. Recommended.

Didn’t look close enough to the picture. Thought it would have swivel pads to n each arm not just one. But I can live with it
