In 1999 the New York Yankees held onto their position as "Team of the Century" by sweeping the Atlanta Braves in the World Series, making them the world champs for the third time in four seasons. In 1998 they won 125 games, a feat previously unmatched. The mystical Bronx Bombers had a tough year to follow; 1999 was bound to be a disappointment. But the Yanks never cease to amaze, and, by winning 99 regular-season games, they obtained a postseason berth. While some critics thought they had lost their edge, the Yankees relentlessly pursued, annihilating the opposition. The 1999 Official World Series Video takes us through each game, highlighting the dramatic moments and augmenting them with commentary from the lineup. Ball players such as Chad Curtis, Bernie Williams, David Cone, and Derek Jeter give their own perspective on the games, showing their humble understanding of and pride in the Yankee legend. --Jeremy Storey
