She will pee on the edge sometimes and it goes under the pad on the edge which can make you think the pad is leaking but that’s not the case. Now we’ve found other purposes to use them. I have a senior diabetic cat that has litter box mistakes and sometimes she will pee on the floor next to the box so I’ve started keeping one of these under the box. The large size is perfect for this. On a side note, if you are asked by your vet to collect a urine sample from your pet, you can turn this upside down and leave the blue side up so when your pet pees on it, you can collect off the waterproof side.
