MACKENZIE-CHILDS Tea Kettle, 2 Quarts, Black-and-White Courtly Check

This teapot is perfect. It goes with my farmhouse kitchen and it’s a great accent to my other two pieces of McKenzie child’s. Not only is this teapot beautiful, but it is very functional. I am very satisfied with my purchase, McKenzie Child is one of my favorite brands. I think I’m obsessed.

It has such a strong presence on my stovetop. There are two other sizes and this is the largest. Love it!

All McKenzie Childs products are great quality along with vibrant color (purchased royal blue). So pretty in my kitchen

There is nothing like a Mackenzie-Childs Tea Kettle…. I remember seeing one in a friend’s house when I was growing up, and knew that I’d have one, too, one day. I was recently reminded of this when helping a friend decorate her house and Makenzie-Childs’ fun patterns came up as an interesting pop of personality and texture to add to her kitchen decor. Personally, I had thought of adding their pieces in our kitchen, but in my mind, the Courtly Check would not “flow well” with my cool and creamy soft tones that the room is comprised of. However, while looking for different products to include in my friend’s kitchen, I saw that they had a whole array of “new” color ways! I was so excited and started to immediately mull over which one would be the most streamline fit, and the sterling was the winner by far! It goes so subtlety beautiful with my color scheme of cream, white and grey, along with the paint color, Sea Salt, but it especially highlights my mother-of-pearl backsplash above the oven, where it sits. After receiving it and seeing in-person how well it worked, I happily purchased a bunch of other accessories in the sterling for my kitchen and cannot wait to see it all come together! I believe that these pieces are a great investment because if I can remember them from when I was a kid, they have truly stood the test of time. Now that I’m older, I’m more prone to purchase items that are more everlasting than trendy…. I guess it’s partially for sentimental reasons, but there’s also something so comforting in knowing that you’re always going to love a special item rather than constantly look for the next “in” thing to replace it with.

I have the 3 quart in mocha check. It was beautiful that it was a little big because when you put water in it, it became a little heavy and a little awkward to pour out. My right wrist is weak from a really bad spraying that I've had prior and so when I went to Lyft Lyft the tea kettle up to pour it into my cup. Then it was just hard. I had to use both hands to hold the tea kettle... So I did get a 2 quart in mocha check + you can't put maybe 2 in of water in the bottom. You have to be very careful because the steam when it starts oiling will come out the lid. It won't come out the spout for a release of the steam like a normal teapot does the steam comes out of the lid and when you go to pick the tea, kettle up off the stove to pour it into a cup. Your fingers get burned from the steam but I'm not going to return it. I'm just going to keep it but it is annoying for that.

This MacKenzie Childs tea kettle is absolutely beautiful. It is a statement piece in my kitchen. I don’t even drink tea so I probably won’t use it as intended. I’m happy that I added this to my collection.

I love Mackenzie-Childs products. It is way to expensive but I splurge every once in a while. I love the blue accent for my kitchen. It's a beautiful piece.
