no its plastic tube, now the top part is glass. ! I got two of them but there a flaw. After a period in time, maybe one month the Blue LED burns out. only leaving the red and Yellow led working. Its a engineer design fault not the vendor fault. I would suspect its electrical, Vendor did send me replacement but they go out in a period of time also. Other then that it works fine, look fine. Too bad I really like the light.

You must have enough water to cover the device that dies the misting.

You probably can if you send them an email, and work with the seller on this lamp! They were very easy to work with, and sent me the bottom replacement kit for a new motor not too long after I had bought this item. It was a brand-new motor they sent, and has worked well ever since!
