Wool, fits well, nicely made.

Hate came well packed with a cardboard shell around it with good protection and shipping was very fast. It does run true to size or just a tiny bit snug (for me) but has some give with the material. It also has a softer feel with the wool with nice spring back if rolled. It wears a bit warm which is nice for cold fall and winter days but might be a bit much for warmer regions. The water resistance works good and should hold up through the wet season. I wasn’t sure if I would like the color in person but ended up being very pleased. I chose this hat because I didn’t want a full fledged cowboy hat and something more versatile for outdoor work and general activity. There are lots of options in an outdoor style hat but if this is a style you decide on you won’t be disappointed - very comfortable, versatility, and the quality is great! I also get a lot of compliments which is always nice.

Been hard to find one that fits as they are mostly “one size fits all” but this one in XXL actually fits and looks great. Hat was packaged well and was shipped quickly.

I’ve been buying Stetsons for decades and the Bozeman Outdoor hat for years. After going through many other styles and models I finally found this hat, which was the one I was searching for all that time. I just bought my 4th one now. The quality has remained constant in all of them, except that the 3rd one was a little thin. Being too thin means it won’t stay on your head in wind as well as thicker ones do, and sometimes when working it wants to fall off. I always catch it, but on the 1st and 2nd versions they were thick enough to grip my head, hold their shape in the wind without flying off, and they would stay put even if I turned my head upside down for a moment, as to look under something or to reach down to pet the dogs and cats. I’m hoping that the 4th one reverts to the original quality, and will report back after getting it. …er… and the 5th. I forgot to say that I ordered two this time. They didn’t have my green one, so I got two other colors. I’ll report back.Overall, the quality level of all the Stetsons I’ve owned (around 20) has been excellent. I’d wear them forever, but they get awfully dirty the way I use them, and after while I’d rather just replace them than to keep on wearing a stained-up, dirty hat. The hats themselves have never worn out. Always retain their shape, their feel and fit.

I've got a really big head (nothing smaller than 7 7/8 to 8 ever fits), so I'm very grateful for the consistency in sizing I've seen with Stetson hats ... every hat they label as "XXL" is right in this range; usually fits me perfectly, and this one was no exception.The wool felt of this hat is wonderful ... smooth/consistent felt, nice and warm, reasonably "crushable," and feels nice to the touch. Only critique I'd make is that Stetson makes a number of these hats, all with different model names, colors, bands, but essentially the same basic hat (crushable wool felt, pinch front, with piping/boundary around the edge of the brim). The photo of this one makes the brim appear flat, but when you actually get it and put it on, it doesn't look anything like that. The sides bend upward pretty dramatically, to give it a more "cowboy" appearance/fit. I'm "OK" with that (mainly because there are so few hats available from other makers that will actually fit my head, I'll wear just about anything "close enough"), but I would have preferred a fit/look more like what's shown in the photos ...

This is a great hat! I got this for my husband for his birthday and he is beyond happy with it. He gets compliments on it every where he goes. It holds its shape well and has withstood all types of weather conditions so far! He’s had it for about 6months and it’s still in impeccable condition! Best part though is that it’s made in the USA, support American made, to support American families!!!!!

I've had this hat for 5 years and I rarely wore it at first because I was afraid to mess it up. Then I took it on an extended trip that involved several flights and I was forced to "crush" it to keep it in my backpack. I should have never doubted it. Now I fold the hat up all the time and it always comes out looking good. It's great in snow and light rain too. It's warm and keeps the snow off the back of my neck. I wear a 7-3/4 hat and the XXL fits perfectly. Not a summer hat though; it's made of fairly heavy wool felt.

Arrived earlier than expected, in a perfect sized box to keep it from being crushed. Beautifully made. Fits like a dream, stays on my head even in the wind. Definitely worth what I paid
