Crutch

This is a compelling drama that is very difficult to put aside. It contains many of the usual coming of age events in a young man's life. As autobiography the movie has a special appeal. I like the presentation very much and have recommended the film to family and friends. I think you the viewer will find this to be "a cut above the rest." I have no hesitation in making this very favorable review!

may the man, rob, get everything out of his system and get down to the business of doing what he has so much potential to do. life bit him in the ass, it seems, but now it's his turn to bite back. look what you have done. those bitching about it did not do a thing. you have! take a deep breath and shake that brain and come off with something new for us. we need good directors and writers and actors, but give others a break and do one job at a time. ready for your next one.

It is an insipid, oft-told tale of adolescent dysfunction elevated not a bit by its gay context.In addition to a hackneyed script and uniformly weak performances, the entire sorry affair suffers from looking like Helen Keller was the director of photography. Dark, dreary images of dull, foolish people.There *are* worse ways to spend a couple hours. But who wants to travel to Guantanamo at this time of year?

Another enjoyable gay themed movie the type I used to see on Here TV.

Some of the story was hard to follow. By the time it was over it made a more since too me. The Male actors who where of course the lead characters Where actual very good the story itself was just a "crutch" in a bad way..

The story itself at times is very melodramatic, I think mainly because the the story itself is full of one hardship after the next. David is dealt a very raw deal in his young life. The the actors in this movie for the most part dealt very well with a tough script. Eben Gordon was very believable as the troubled 16 year old David. He has a very endearing quality from the beginning of the story which makes you pull for him throughout the movie. I liked the fact that he looked closer to 20. A thirty something with an actual 16 year old (although it's what really happened) would have made it more difficult to watch. Rob Moretti's performance had a great balance of manipulation and likability. It's understandable why David falls for Kenny. The story is very personal. Knowing that it is based on a true events makes you feel like you are watching a personal journal brought to life. Very disturbing, but worth experiencing. It also doesn't hurt that the leads are not too bad to look at.

The movie itself is based on a true story. The movie does not have closed-captioned and hard for deaf and hard-of-hearing people to understand the main story of the movie. It's hard for me to know what is happening without closed-captioned for hearing impaired.

Die Geschichte wurde bereits erzählt. Ja warum gebe ich eine 5 statt nur ...Keine Geschichte/Film ging mir in den letzten Monaten so unter die Haut wie dises kleine Meisterwerk. Ohne Schnörkel und ohne Effekthascherei wird die Geschichte eines Coming Out erzählt, dass gar nicht so abwegig ist. Der Aussprache im Film ist so gut, dass auch viele mit nicht so guten Englisch-Kenntnissen den Film gut verstehen. Absolut genial finde ich dass der Rob Moretti, der den Film gedreht hat und auch die 2. Hauptrolle spielt, jetzt den Part des "Übermannes" übernimmt, nämlich die Rolle von Kenny, obwohl er das Opfer David war.Unbedingt sollte man den Kommentar zum Film ansehen. Hier erzählt Rob Moretti anhand der Filmsequenzen nochmals was er erlebt hat und wie es war. Sehr beeindruckend geschildert dazu noch die Filmsequenzen, die man dann noch besser versteht.Vielleicht ist der Film nicht optimal gedreht, vielleicht sind die Darsteller nicht die optimalsten Besetzungen. Aber gerade das nicht Perfekte macht für mich diesen Film so gut.Und es wird wieder mal klar wie weit man geht um Dinge zu erreichen und erst im Nachhinein die Folgen sehen kann. Allerdings soll dies keine Verurteilung sein. Jeder dem Ruhm und Erfolg goutiert wird, versucht doch am Ende irgendwie einen Kuchen abzuschneiden.Sehr gut gefallen mir auch die Erzählsequenzen von David, wie er immer tiefer in das Loch des Erfolgs abrutscht und wie er merkt, dass er nicht mehr er ist, aber auch niemand hat der ihn rausholt. Der Film zeigt, dass man nur selbst etwas verändern kann. Nur man selbst. Sei du und lass es niemand dir das du nehmen. Aber sei verliebt und liebe.Anschauen!

apparently based on a true story found the background music annoying & the acting unconvincing in parts. Davids supposedly straight relationship with a girl is unrealistic Crossing the boundaries & taking advantage of his drama student when he attends the drama classes with his girlfriend is unethical to say the least. is this love or lust?

Vielen Dank. Die Lieferung war schnell. Der Film Crutch ist absolut sehehswert. Dramatisch und macht sehr nachdenklich,da es die wahre Lebensgeschichte von Rob Moretti ist. Hut ab vor seinem Regiedebut.

Dieser Film entspricht nicht unseren Vorstellungen und ist auch noch auf Englisch und keine andere Sprache. Trotzdem vielen Dank für ihre Lieferrung.
