Wanted to like it, but can only use brightest setting due to high pitched whine and ... no battery?
I'll keep this short. This seemed like a great solution to many lighting needs for me, but unfortunately, it is not executed well. Here's what's good about this lamp:1) Flexible neck and head allow it to be positioned in just about any angle2) Lightweight, yet the base keeps it stableUnfortunately, the bad outweighs the good for this product. 2 main issues, and 1 more note on what could have been better.1) When plugged into the any usb port, this lamp creates a high pitched whine when used on the 2 out of the 3 brightness settings. Only on the highest setting does this not produce a whine. I tested this on multiple usb chargers, all with the same effect.2) This lamp was supposed to be rechargeable, so I could remove it from the usb charger and use it without the plug. After letting it charge for a full day, there still does not appear to be any battery or perhaps the battery is defunct. Maybe I just got a bad one. In any case, it doesn't work as advertised.3) Plug would be better as micro usb going in instead of the older round barrel plug. It seems like we got rid of those years ago, but yet... here we are. Because of the unique plug, I can't test other charging cables to see if another cable would eliminate the whine of the lamp on the two lowest settings. The cable is also fairly short, not allowing you to hide the plug without using a usb extender cable.Disappointing.

Works well depending on what you want it for.
This desk lamp is a little smaller than I expected. The light head is about the size of my hand. The base is a little bigger and wider. The goose neck is a little over a foot long. It would be nice setting next to your computer or right next to where you are working. I would not use it as a bedside lamp as it is to small. It would have to be directly shining on what you are working on to be of use. Otherwise it would be more of a general nightlight in a room. The on/off is a touch control, not a button, so you just touch the area marked and on it goes. The touch control is very sensitive and will turn on with the slightest touch. It has 3 light settings - low, medium and high. The plastic cover over the bulbs is frosted which helps diffuse the light. It has a USB charger with it. I can't say how long the battery will last when it is fully charged because it depends on which brightness setting you are using. But, from what I have see I would expect it to last at least several hours at the highest light setting.I received this product for Free in return for my unbiased, honest review. All of my words and opinions are 100% my own.

I am happily unable to break this thing- one of the features I was hoping for in my tight workspace where I am always knocking things over and off the work surface. It is perfect for putting light right on things as I do techie work. Also, perfect amount of light for late night reading. The light element ("bulb") in these things seem to last forever. I have used it like a night light many times so it gets MANY hours of use.Picky reasons not a five star rating:-- Base could be broader / heavier to improve stability-- Neck could be longer to increase height from work surface and increase the ways it could be used-- Have to cycle through brightness levels / no direct selection of preferred brightness.

This is a nice table/desk light for around your keyboard/computer area
As someone else mentioned, read the product description fully so you don't get little surprises when you receive the item. This is a nice table/desk light for around your keyboard/computer area. It's re-chargeable so it's portable,I've not played around with it to see how long it holds a charge, but that would depend on which of 3 brightness settings, leds, quite light and neck very flexible--- but it connects thru USB port on computer not plug into wall outlet! I was looking for a bedside lamp and this didn't cut it for that use, but for close-in computer area use it's great!

Cheap junk, very short battery life.
These things are crap. I bought two, The first one out of the box the switch doesn't work right. You tap is and the light slowly (over 10 seconds or so) comes on, and the same to turn it off. Didn't matter how long it was charged, it was broken. The other one works as it should, but on the brightest setting you can get 2, maybe 3 hours out of it before it is super dim and need charged, with a proprietary usb charging cable. On top of that, the beam of light cast is very wide and lights up the whole room, which probably won't work if you are trying to read in bed while someone else is trying to sleep. Save your money, buy something else.

Pretty Good Little Lamp
Does not seem to last very long without a charge. It would be fine if it stayed plugged in, which is what I figure most people will do. If that is the case than it would be a great little lamp. It gets very bright and the design is very sleek. However because of where I have it placed on the desk, I am not able to leave it plugged in all the time so it tends to go dim after a short while of reading or studying. It is definitely worth the price however.

Keep looking
I purchased two of these lamp at once, and only one of them actually worked. And the one that does work does not hold a charge very long -- certainly not the 12 hours claimed by the manufacturer. All in all, not a happy experience.

Accent lamp yes reading lamp no
Concept is good but its lumens are low. Cannot use for reading which is why I bought it. Makes a nice accent which is how I am using. I like the fact it is rechargeable.
