I did not like it at first. The vice would move from side to side. Then I found the screw to tighten it up. Like it a lot now.

you buy what you get. It helps with a third hobby hand. Wont really work for industrial uses. If you are a hobbist 5 star. if you have a shop stay away

I was admittedly a bit disappointed by the quality. I have a “suction mount” vice of similar price point that is made much nicer. The movement of the main ball and socket rotation on this vice is rough and imprecise, making hard to quickly make fine angle adjustmentsThe “foot” on the screw clamp is knurled metal, a poor choice for clamping to a surface you wish not to mar. Furthermore, the set screw in the foot, which is intended to align with a groove in the screw post, is too low, so instead of the end of the threaded rod pushing against the foot, it is the small set screw bearing this load, which prevents the foot from being able to rotate when tightening the clamp. This increases the degree to which the foot mars up a surface. I need to dremel the threads back, and glue on a rubber pad to alleviate these issues, as shown in my photo.Otherwise, it functions as a compact, inexpensive, light duty vice.

I would have given this five stars but when I received it, the vice was missing one of two black rubber vice insulators for the jaw part. I was extremely bummed because you know how this works with these types of companies and from Amazon. It is too much of a pain to try and get someone to replace it! Other than that, I have a little Dewalt work bench and it fit perfectly onto one of the supports and please know for the price you are not getting a super solid vice. This is for working on smaller things and was a little hard to adjust at first but it is extremely versatile and I would buy it if I were you as long as you know what it is and what you intend to use it for! This may not be a typical use for a table vise, but I use mine as a "stand" for my hand embroidery. I specifically wanted something with a ball joint so I could swivel it around any direction. I have bad hands, so I can't always hold my hoops &, also, I need something to make certain stitches easier (French knots, for example). This works great! It holds my hoop firmly & doesn't budge from its position on my desk. Do be aware: due to the nature of this product, it is a bit grimy upon arrival. So I advise wiping it down real good before placing your clean hoop & fabric on it. I actually might fashion little fabric covers for the grips, just for extra protection of my pieces. For the purposes I'm using this vise for I couldn't be more satisfied! Recommend!

The only thing that I had a problem with is all the screws were loose you need a set of metric alien wrenches

It looks good and I attached it to my bench but haven't had the occasion to use it yet. It will work for light, delicate work.
