It is a snap-on case and it feels like it will not open, but, in fact, it does. Just tug on it a bit harder. **Q: Item measurements are listed 5.5x4x2.75 . I need the exact outside width of box, I have limited space?** A: With the lid closed it sticks out from a wall 3". The cover is the largest piece and is 3 7/8" by 5 5/8" **Q: What type of locks, padlocks I can use with this outdoor box ? any specific model advised** A: Good morning, this is Selina from Intermatic Consumer Services. Thank you for your question on our WP3100C. Any brand of lock with a 1/8" diameter shank will work with this cover. We appreciate your business! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Protection from Rain *by T***R on August 2, 2026* I installed this weatherproof outlet cover on the wall in the backyard. You don’t have to worry about rain getting the outlet wet, and it also looks great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality and great price *by C***O on September 2, 2026* This item performed perfectly. Good quality, easy to use, and definitely worth the price. I’d buy it again without hesitation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install *by S***N on January 1, 2026* Figuring out how to install this was easy. I have never done anything... constructively or install things, but I figured this out and it has protected my outlet so I must have done something right (I was also replacing one so I didnt have to find the hole to drill). I know this because the seal is good and my outlets haven't tripped since, and there have been pretty bad rain storms. I debated giving this 4 stars due to the trouble of removing the cover to change the direction. It was really hard to take off the hinges to change from vertical to horizontal, so much so I even broke a fingernail doing it. But that goes to show how sturdy it is, it is strong and that is something you would want in something that is outdoors. So five stars it is. ## Frequently Bought Together - Intermatic WP3100C Weatherproof Electrical Outlet Cover - Extreme Temperature Resistance, Heavy-Duty Construction, Versatile Design & Multi-Configurable, Easy Install, Secure Fit for Outdoor In-Use - Amazon Basics Weather-Resistant GFCI Receptacle with LED Indicator, Self-Test Feature, 20 Amp, White - ENERLITES Weatherproof Outlet Box with Three 3/4-in Threaded Outlets, Outdoor Electrical Box, 3 Holes 0.75” Each, 1-Gang, 4.57” Height x 2.83” Length x 2.05” Depth, EN1375 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/15132254-intermatic-wp3100c-weatherproof-outdoor-electrical-outlet-cover-single-gang](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/15132254-intermatic-wp3100c-weatherproof-outdoor-electrical-outlet-cover-single-gang) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
