Installation tips
The power cord must traverse thru the box in a way that allows the user to close the box tightly. The molded plastic box is designed with a few potential cord openings so that the user can choose the best configuration for his set up. Once you choose the opening(s) that work(s) for you, you have to remove the small plastic piece covering those portals. A simple hole puncher worked great for removing the plastic, without damaging the box itself. The hole puncher didn't punch a hole, but grabbed the plastic firmly so that it could be bent gently back and forth until it easily tore off. If your hands aren't very strong, (I'm a senior female), you might struggle to get the flip cover attached to the box. I was ultimately able to do it, but it wasn't easy. it might be a good idea to try to install the box with the cover already attached, or at least practice installing it before screwing in the box. The whole process took about twenty minutes after watching the videos. It would have been faster if I had had a power screw driver. Would recommend this product.

Perfect Solution for Outdoor Outlet Protection!
These weatherproof outdoor outlet covers are exactly what I needed to keep my outdoor electrical outlets safe from the elements. I live in an area with unpredictable weather, from heavy rain to extreme sun, and I wanted a reliable solution to protect my outdoor outlets. These covers have been perfect! The installation was incredibly easy, and the covers fit securely over my outlets. They’re made of durable, high-quality materials that feel like they will hold up to years of use. I love the fact that they are designed to be fully weatherproof, and the seals are tight, so no moisture or debris gets in.What’s also great is that they allow for easy access to the outlets without compromising the protection. The hinged design is convenient, and it’s simple to plug in appliances when needed and close it back up securely. These outlet covers give me peace of mind knowing my outlets are safe from rain, snow, and dirt. If you need to protect your outdoor outlets, I highly recommend these weatherproof covers. They do the job and look great too!

Good device
Nifty device. Meets all my needs for my yard. Only thing is the smart watering seems a bit off? I set it to smart watering and it wants to only water once a week. Easy override though. Would recommend!

Well it works. Cord knockouts difficult to remove.
I struggled with this because I really could not close the lid with my pellet smoker cord plugged in - it was rather thick. The listing photos show similar thickness cords can fit with the lid closed, so I referred to the instructions online. The online instructions want you to remove the "cord set ports" which are the thinner semi-oval shaped sections of plastic near two of the edges (whichever side is the bottom in your installation is where you should remove these). However, these can't be removed cleanly like the knockouts on a junction box.You need to come in here with a sharp knife (careful!) or maybe some diagonal cutters. The end result isn't going to look overly professional unless you spent a lot of time cleaning up the cuts. This is why I removed a star - these could have been designed better. Also, there is a discrepancy between Intermatic's data sheet for this product, and this online listing. This online listing says it is "Extra Duty" rated, but the data sheet specifically says it is not.

Very easy to install
I have been in my house for 12 years now and the covers are becoming discolored and I am scared they would break. These are from the same manufacturer as what I had but a different model. Most times when I try to do some small project like this it’s a pain and takes forever. I first thought I had the wrong thing when I got these but it’s because it’s not assembled yet. These things are absolutely amazing, heavy duty, look great and a breeze to install. It literally took me 3 minutes per unit. They came with extra mounting screws and plates to fit whatever you are replacing. Very glad I made this purchase.

Easy to install, but not deep/large enough for my uses
These are easy to install. However, they aren't quite large enough to accommodate my power sprayer plugin. I have to take them off to be able to plug in my power sprayer, and as I move it around the house. I have to reinstall the one I'm done with and then uninstall the next one and repeat until I've finished washing the hose. They also aren't quite deep enough to accommodate the power bricks that came with my home security cameras. I had to buy smaller power bricks so that they'd even fit in the box with the plastic door part down. They also don't fit down as they're intended with my orange outdoor extension cord. They'll serve the purpose for irregular outdoor use, but if you have cameras and other things regularly plugged in, perhaps you should look for different ones.
