Hornady makes great equipment, and their customer service is phenomenal! These are really nice precision dies. However, there is a weak link, the Zip Spindle, I broke it. This is the decapper rod with the expander ball on it. Here's the thing though, Hornaday replaced it free of charge, with practically over night shipping, so I received the replacement about two days later. I spoke with the techician at Hornady, he told me that I may have set the Zip spindle too far down (extended too far out the bottom of the die, and it was forced up against the bottom of the brass case), but it is essentially like a "fusible link", and the Zip Spindle will fail to preserve the rest of the die's integrity. This makes sense, something has to give if too much pressure is applied. Bottom line is, they replaced it with no questions asked, I had it two days later, and got back to reloading quickly. With a little extra care, I have learned to correctly position the Zip Spindle, and now it works great. Good product, great 30-06 dies, and most of all, excellent Hornady Customer Service. (be sure to lube the inside of the case mouth when reloading 30-06 brass)

Hornady makes great dies! Every Hornady die I have (about 12 calibers) just work great including this one. Price is a little higher than Lee or RCBS, but you get what you pay for. These also allow the choice to adjust for neck sizing only or full length resizing. That is very handy to allow you to extend the life of your brass. Always use Hornady One Shot lube and Unique case lube on the neck. Competitive price, quick delivery, works as advertised.

All I can say is it works as advertised, has a great warranty, that should a cartridge case get stuck they will remove it without damaging the die. The sizing die also has a weep hole to allow excessive lube to bleed of to avoid denting the case. A fine product.

I had to have .005" machined off the bottom of the die to bump the shoulder back on my brass. A Hornady head space gauge showed the shoulders were actually growing after sizing! The die was too long for my fired cases out of my Marlin XL7. The die works good now and gives plenty of neck sizing for good tension requiring no crimp at all.The bullet seater die is superb and the main reason I buy Hornady die kits.One star off for the .005 problem and for not including a shell holder with the kit.

I have used Redding, RCBS, and Hornady dies in the past. The Hornady die sets have proved to have little if any run out on loaded cases. So I decided to replace some of my older dies with these and they have worked great for me. I have installed micro adjust on seating die and that has made this die set a snap to set for different brands of bullets.

I had to really tighten down the decapping pin to keep it from moving while using it. Also used a lot of case lube on the brass
