Guardian Domination

This is my second book by this author. I love the dominant men in her books, and the hero in this book is no different. Jace is a take charge, do what I say, when I say it, or suffer the consequences kind of male. The book was a good length. The book was about a young, spoiled girl named Celeste, who reluctantly became the ward of Jace. Celeste's biological parents were a nightmare, therefore she got into a lot of trouble. The judge gave Celeste a choice, go live with Jace or go directly to jail for her petty crimes. Jace quickly learned to care for Celeste. He often spanked her with all kinds of instruments, whenever he felt she had misbehaved or had broken one of his many rules. There was a lot of sexual tension, which usually happens in this kind of book. Jace treated Celeste like a little girl for most of the book, which I did not like.I wish there could have been more fire and heat between the main characters. Celeste loved Jace unconditionally and did whatever she had to, to please him. Jace was concerned about whether or not Celeste could make a true committment to the D and S lifestyle, therefore he kept pulling away, until the very end of the book. Celeste was spanked by several people in the book, which bothered me. I like the spanking romances, where the spanking is exclusive, private, consentual or nonconsentual between the hero and the heroine.

This is the most engrossing piece of work on the D/s subject. It is mesmerizing and filled with such depth that it is work of superior nature. It dispels all the "vanilla" versions of the D/s world's. Here is an opportunity to learn and read from one of the best!

Guardian Domination is probably my favorite of Breanna's books. Kind of a spoiler alert doncha think? But what you don't know is why. Don't worry, I'm going to tell you ;) Celeste Bronston is 18 years old and facing jail time unless she agrees to let Jace Jordan become her legal guardian until the age of 21. What's the catch? She doesn't know it yet but Mr. Jordan is a Dom and believes in corporal punishment. What I like about this book is that when it starts out there is a very special bond between Celeste and Jace. He is 13 years her senior and doesn't have a romantic interest in her. He gives her ground rules, punishment when she needs it, and unconditional love. And she starts to flourish because of it. There are many misadventures, music gigs, tutoring sessions, lasting friendships, oh, and did I mention puppies? When feelings start to develop they progress naturally. You are cheering for them to get together even before they start to have romantic feelings for each other.Here's an excerpt:"I am going to have to punish you, though. Your behavior was unacceptable.""You aren't going to take away the puppies, are you?" I panicked.Jace shook his head with a slight chuckle. "Heck no; those little mutts are here to stay too." He paused. "No, I'm afraid I am going to have to spank you.""What?!" I stared at him in horror. "Are you nuts? I'm 18 and way too old to be treated like a baby. You can't do that. It's child abuse! You promised never to hit me!"He stayed calm. "Make up your mind; are you 18 or a child? And I promised to never bruise your face. I said nothing about your bottom."If you like spanking fiction, you'll like this book. Heck, even if you are a regular 'ol romance lover, you will like this book. I have found that I like Ms Hayse's books overall but this one was a bit confusing for me. it starts with a well formatted setting and you learn about Celeste then her unexpected dominate guardian. Add Mark tutor come- friend of Jace's and then add a couple of support characters and you are set.The problem I had was not everything deserves a beating and then things changed causing others to spank her, and bruising is not the goal of my favorite Dom so I think it is over the top.finally the story could have done with more fleshing out of the storyline and less over the top spanking. I LOVE a good spanking story but this one had too much and it detracted from the story. it got so the multiple spanking a day stopped the flow.Will read another because some of her books are a 5star easy. just not this one.

One thing I love about this author is that her stories are longer than some of the super short books out there today. And so many times, the main characters meet and fall in love in a single day, declare their love at the end of the week, and tie everything up with a marriage proposal at the end of huge second week. Well, this story takes two years. How great is that? A professional Dom takes over the guardianship of a girl/woman. He remembers her fondly as a child and remembers thinking, even back then, that she wasn't getting treated right. So he steps in as her last hope before prison. This is the story of two years of tough love. Nothing hugely dramatic. No guns, no kidnapping, no mafia or aliens. Just a group of people living their life with the daily stresses introduced by outside influences of school, work, peer pressure, etc. it was a sweet, refreshing story that really takes a lot of time to portray the emotional connection that may be forged through love-based discipline. It's a nice read.

I do quite a bit of reading and I was quite pleased with this book. It is written exceptionally well and keeps you entangled in its story. The characters are likeable and it is an easy flowing read. I hated for it to end.

Have always loved stories of bad girls and strong stern guardians. This author continues to please me . The hero is a wonderful character with the strength of a good Dom as well as the flaws of a human.

Th publisher makes it clear in the synopsis what is included in this book and states "if you don't like it don't buy it! Simple? what it doesn't tell you is that the spanking practically happens in every page!Celest Bronston finds herself lumbered with a guardian after another run-in with the law. She is given on final chance by the judge, behave or else!. Jace Jordan, her godfather, becomes her legal guardian (he is thirtyish and she is almost 18). With no other choice and if Celest wants to stay out of jail she has to accept the judge's offer and by doing so will remain under the authority of Jace Jordan until she turns 21.Well this is where the book becomes "interesting" Celest thinks Jace is over the hill and is pleasantly surprised to find out that he is young and handsome. What she didn't account for is the way Jace deals with young women who are disobedient. She finds out very quickly that her bad behaviour earns her a LONG spanking. (honestly I don't know how she manages to sit down as these are real humdingers).Eventually Celest sees Jace in a very different light and she finds out that Jace is not immune to her as he makes out to be. He reveals his interest in dominance and submission to the feisty young woman and of course she wants to submit.So if you want to read a story about a guardian who enjoys non-consensual spankings, anal play, exhibitionism(yeah public spanking included), sexual scenes (wouldn't say they are graphic) then by all means buy this book.Me? Well I am sure I shouldn't have found this remotely funny but c'mon? the spanking was just unbelievable. No person could take this amount of punishment an walk unless you have an a$$ of hide!

To me this book was much more revolved around the development of two people's feelings between a Dom/sub. I totally respected that because with these books its just normally filled on sex and lust with nothing promising to build a relationship on really. However with this book I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy reading about the discovery of a young woman who needs a firm loving hand to keep her in line. The 'spanking' was a major involvement in this book, and it was interesting to read as punishment matured the young girl into a young woman submissive. I do love a good erotica and yes this book has one or two love scenes but for me i enjoyed a change in style, and was totally immersed in the lifestyle and relationship of a dom and sub. A definite five stars for this elegant read :)

Sweet story, lots of spankings, nothing too extreme. Good character development, strange first person point of view.Had the rich, detached hero, the scary room of pain, the big house and the love story but with better kink and absolutely no mention of an inner goddess!!

The problem I have with this book is the"hero"is her guardian. This gives the whole book a horrible feeling of incest.He is horribly brutal towards a girl who is obviously disturbed.He wants her to live a respectable regular life .The most stupid thing is we are told he is a rock star,a breed noted for their regular and respectable ways!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and will look for more from this author. An interesting story with a happy ending and fully drawn characters
