Better than I expected
Although I own a couple of L-class Canon lenses (professional quality) I thought I needed something lightweight. After having shot a hundred of pictures, I'm pretty impressed with the picture quality, even on the longest focal distance (250 mm). This cheap lens can compete with my L-class lenses which were by a decimal order more expensive. I wouldn't believe it's possible.I took pictures of the Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament from the Golden Jubilee Bridge. It's about 590 meters to the bridge and 600+ meters to the Parliament. You can see details as little as one inch of the picture of the bus (which is cut pixel-on-pixel from the whole picture). Chromatic aberration is barely noticeable, even in the corners. What a great performance for a price this cheap. (The BW picture of the Houses of Parliament is processed in the Affinity Photo editor and downsized.)I used the Canon EOS 2000D camera, which is a low-end model of Canon SLRs, BTW. Also great performance for the price.Highly recommended

International version without Canon UK warranty
Please be aware when purchasing that this is a genuine Canon product however has not been intended for the UK market and comes with no Canon UK warranty, as a result you may run into issues with Canon if you need to get it fixed.However - whilst these lenses are mass produced - this one in particular is built to a very high standard and the chances of encountering any manufacturing defects is very low.The item I received was packaged well, appears brand new and the optics perform wonderfully.I'm very happy with this purchase and the price paid, but deducted 1 star as the listing does not mention the lack of warranty, you just have to be savvy enough to realise when items may be grey market.. or read reviews such as this!

This lense came on like and in good protective packaging. The lense quality is amazing. I returned the 70-300mm III lense and bought this instead and I am 100% sure I made the correct decision.
