The media could not be loaded.  These containers were a great replacement for my daughter's lunches. I used to send her to school will several Tupperware bowls for each food item - don't know why, but it made sense at the time. I love that each container has a different number of sections to give us options for lunches. The dry foods stay dry, which is important because no one likes soggy chips, cookies or crackers. They are water proof and drop proof (it was dropped my my three year old onto concrete and did have any damages except for the scratches at the point of impact). I've even placed the full boxes in the freezer (for no more than two hours) and there was no damage at the seems - everything still works perfectly. Will definitely purchase again.

I've only had these for a few weeks. I have to say that these do warp if put into the dishwasher as other reviews state. One of the lids accidently went into the dishwasher by my son and it did warp slightly even on the top rack. We have my used anything with liquid in these yet to know if they leak. The lids detach and the inside comes out so that it can go into the microwave without warping the lids. This does not fit into normal sized or even slightly larger lunch boxes and because of its flat design, it needs to be stood on its side to go into a bookbag... So leak proof will be important. We bought a different set of lunch containers that fit into normal lunch boxes, but these ones will most likely get used when liquid is on the menu. The portion size is actually just meeting my 5 year old's needs. With a growth spurt... I'll have to pack two. It's a little odd trying to get American style lunches into them, but I can imagine these being great for Asian style meals. Half sandwiches fit, but it's tricky. Whole sandwiches do not fit... Unless you maybe cut it up into random sized pieces. I updated this review to include a lunch box I found that this fits into. I found it at Costco and it can be carried 3 different ways and even straps to a book bag, has an ice pack, and came with its own containers. Every style of container shown in my photos fits in this bag. I can't say enough great things about it. I think the brand is ultra artic zone original.

We wanted to love these containers, but there are issues... The container is made of two parts, the white and the colored part. The two parts are not perfectly sealed. So when they get washed, water gets in between the two sections, and you can actually shake it out. This seems like after a while it will breed mold and hold bacteria. Not cool. The two parts should be perfectly sealed all around. Plus, we felt that the thin material that joins the flaps will eventually break off from repeated opening and closing (as other reviewers have experienced). They provided a very large spoon, which to us seemed a bit silly for this type of containter (i.e., it is not a soup bowl). If anything, they should have provided a spork. So we sent them back for these reasons.Update: Well, after I returned these, a few weeks later I received a surprise package in the mail from the company. They sent me new containers and a nice handwritten note, signed by Deana.. Turns out the ones they sent me as replacements are fine. The compartments are almost completely leak free, even among themselves, although there were a few drops (1/8 of a tsp?) that managed to squeeze out of the container. Just put this into a plastic bag and you should be fine. There is a bit of insulation between them as well so you can put something warm in one and cool in another and it will stay that way for a short time at least. The only problem is that the lid can be a bit challenging to get on because it needs to for so tightly. That and the insulation makes it a bit bulky, but I don't think there's any way around that.

I send bento lunches for my kids. Every one I tried previously had flaws- leaks, plastic would smell like detergent, the plastic cracks after 1 year of use.This is one of two designs that I found that work well. IT does not leak out and more importantly, it does NOT leak from compartment to compartment can contain a cut-up sandwich, wraps, pasta, salad, chips, salsa, guac, nuts. etc. I dont use the shovel style spoon that comes with this, It doesnt fit inside the box when its loaded with food.The only negative is that this must be hand-washed and you have to use a skewer to get into the gaskets around the compartments. I've put other bento style lunchboxes in the dishwasher and they warped and the gasket parts still had to be handwashed. I still give this a 5 star because I have purchased so many other bento boxes that leak or absorb odors---so for me -handwashing is not a big deal.

Excellent boxes, my kids have been using them for some months now, and there haven't even scratched.They hold the food clean and safe, we haven't had leaking in or out issues.Definitely a very recommended product, quality is well above the price.

These bento boxes have a portion that is removable and dishwasher safe. Part of the reason the lid isn’t dishwasher safe it helps to maintain the seal(it doesn’t become distorted). I have biggger bento boxes like from another company, but these are just a bit smaller and fit into my purse or lunch boxes easier.

I have been using this for a little over a month. One of the clips has broken so now it doesn’t close securely.Update- I reached out to the company and received a response within a day. Diana was super friendly. She went over and above to rectify the situation and shipped out a replacement. My new bento boxes came a few days later and I was pleased to also receive the steel ice cubes and tray set. I was surprised to get 2 new bento boxes along with the steel ice cubes. I put them in the freezer and have already put them to use in a cocktail! They work great.Thank you to Diana for being so kind and quickly replacing the product. My sons loves using their bento boxes and refuse to buy school lunch now!
