Versatile and very affordable, sent me 5 units.
Not sure if it was a mistake but I was sent a sealed plastic bag with 5 individually sealed bags inside it, each with a product in it.If thats how its meant to be then this is a killer deal! But even if it was an error the item worked flawlessly for my use. Which is described below.I built a lightweight frame from hollow plastic box tubing that mounts underneath my Dji Air 2S drone (since I was sent 5, Im building a unit for my Mavic 3 Enterprise even though i have lights for it I want bigger and badder, and the Mavic 3 Pro once my birthday present from my wife arrives- oops I wasnt to know that hope she doesn't read my reviews, lmao). I then attached a large plastic spotlight head (just the head to save on weight), 3 lithium Ion 18650 cells to power it and set the photo cell sensor in place with foam around it so its sealed up against the LED light in the drones belly (which you can turn on/off with the drones controller).Next the relay power is hooked up, and battery charging circuit added and when the light on the drone is turned on, it will be picked up by the sensor from this device and in turn activate the relay which sends power to the LED driver circuit on the spotlight. Its Amazing how high up I can be and still project a bright light onto the ground or an object. Now the Air 2s handles the added weight nicely but you dont want to make sudden movements in sport mode or you could crash. I edited the cinema/camera modes parameters to have good speed but not allow sudden movements or jerks, everything maxes out close to the drones max but does so slower than it did before. This keeps the added weight from sending the drone into an unrecoverable spiral to it's death.Cant wait to see how big of a light the Mavic 3 Pro can handle, In thinking 2 to 3 times the battery power and a much bigger light.....Ok back ro this product, yeah my wife agrees with you I get off track into left field quite often.... You know once I.... Just kidding. The product fit the specs I needed, works as described, was easy to wire up and was very affordable. I have used it multiple times with no issues whatsoever.

Seems to work well - but darkness means relay coil is engaged
It seems to work well. Senses ambient light as well as the light from a green LED. However, the relay coil is activated when there is darkness. This may not be a problem for some applications, as the relay has both normally-open and normally-closed positions. But I feel that since I am trying to sense light, and darkness will be present the other 99.9% of the time, the relay is pulling extra current when idle/dark and will undoubtedly wear out faster. I will be using a different solution and shelve this sensor.
