I am very pleased with my book. It is well written and illustrated. I recommend this as an introductory text to genetic medicine as well as a reference for the graduate level student.

Very nice overview providing a gentle introduction to a rapidly changing field of endeavor. I would gladly consider buying a new edition in the future but would ask the authors to delve deeper into each of the subject areas. This is enough to whet the appetite but not enough to sate the palate...

This eight edition is up-to-date, well written and covers the major new development and techniques in Genetics/genomics. Useful daily reference book for many clinical geneticist.

I just started a position in genetics and this book was recommended by the genetic councelors. I couldn't carry a textbook on the train so I purchased the kindle version.
