Review: Too big, but it's amazing - Things that I like 1. Crisp keypress. 2. Anti-ghosting is quite good, haven't had any issues with multiple keypresses so far. 3. It is comfortable to use, specially because of the key layout. The things that I dislike 1. My hands are huge and I still can't reach some keys at times, so the keypad is perhaps a bit too big, it should come in various sizes so people with smaller hands can use it as well. 2. There is no software to program the macros, macros are programmed physically on the hardware, that is severely disappointing, usually softwares allow you to set macros based on microsecond delays and are highly editable. 3. There is no "Enter" key on the keypad. The key over the space at could easily have been used for it. 4. The "M" or the map key is way off its place, it's at the top instead of it's usual location, so I just reassign the keybind for map to "B" instead. I would say, in this price range, it is one of the best you can get :D

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I program each key (the regular ones and not the dedicated macro keys) to do a different function? Like a macro or another key press**
A: The answer about macros only working on Windows is not correct. I am running the Redragon k585 Keypad with macOS Catalina 10.15.7 and use this keypad to play WoW. I have three macros setup so far. On Mac there is no software install, you just plug it in and use it. You hit REC -> M1 -> Gn Key -> keys in progression for macro -> REC. Then, hitting the G key you chose for your macro, the keys you set will execute. I have three setup so far to change: G1 primary weapon + shield, G2 two-handed weapon, G5 fishing pole, which makes it very easy when I forget to reset to a weapon after fishing when I get jumped by a roamer.

**Q: Is there a way to set it to a solid color without any animating effects?**
A: I bought this in 10/2020 and it needed the firmware update to set a solid color. I like this enough that I bought another for a backup, and it didn't require the update (in fact, it's no longer on their site). While the solid option doesn't appear in the softwares drop-down menu, pressing Fn + spacebar will cycle through the various color modes until you get a solid color.

**Q: How long is the  cable**
A: The USB-C Cable is about 150cm/5ft long.

**Q: can i record macros without the use of software?**
A: Yes, there are 7 Onboard Macro Keys on the keyboard, you can record the macros directly without using the software.
