This was packaged in a box in another box, very well protected when shipped, so was in perfect condition. Within minutes I had a storage bench which looks like a more expensive, higher quality item. I use it to store curtains and items that had been crowding my linen closet. It doesn't take up much space, but is useful storage. It's in a guest room, so had only been tried out for sitting on once or twice so far, but it seems sturdy for sitting on to put on shoes, etc.

very handy as a sturdy ottoman, and better yet, I've stashed ALL of my sewing projects in it ! Great for hobby materials, or books, whatever you want "handy" but out of the way when not in use. Great too, for pillows and couch blanket. Easy to assemble, no brainer. Had a bit of a chemical smell when first opened, buy sprayed some diluted white vinegar in and set it out to air for 24 hours. No problems !

It’s a good sized ottoman. It doesn’t look cheap either, which is nice considering the price point.Not as sturdy as the product description suggests though. This thing can not handle anything close to 350 pounds.If you stand on it and evenly distribute your weight it can shakily handle 145 pounds.But when I put weight towards the front of my feet so I could reach up and get closer to the ceiling fan I was fixing I immediately heard cracking noises and had to quickly bail.Didn’t break through it but I saw that it did crack whatever the top of the ottoman is constructed with when I flipped it over.I reinforced mine with some ply wood I had lying around so it’s much safer, but just keep this in mind when making your purchase.

This is perfect for storing (hiding) the grandkids toys. The 4 year old climbs on these a lot and they've held up very well. This box also FITS a set of Melissa and Doug cardboard blocks PERFECTLY.

Looks nice, functions well for storing the extra blankets. Have not tried sitting on it as it doesn’t seem that sturdy, but that’s not what I bought it for

I love this little chest!I live in an RV so I had specific needs from this chest. I have a medium sized dog, and my queen bed was just a little too high off the ground for him to make the jump. He's a 65lb German Shepherd.I could have purchased steps, but space is limited and I wanted to gain some storage if possible.Enter this chest! it fit the bill perfectly and support my dog's weight no problem. I can fit a ton of items in it and mostly I store my off season mountain bike gear and equipment. Really nice to have!

I always have a healthy slight skepticism when buying online that the pictures in the item description are of it's "good side" and a little nicer than what I'll actually receive. This ottoman was spot on what it looks like in the pictures including the size comparison when there's a person in the photo. I love it! It's not too big or too small and it looks really nice especially for the price! It was super easy to set up (we're talking under a minute) and there was no detectable odor for me even though I'm usually rather sensitive to that sort of thing. I put 3 regular size pillows in it and will be able to fit a set of bedding for the hide a bed in addition to them. It's surprisingly sturdy, and it's already made a huge difference to the aesthetics and comfort of my living room. I was hesitant making this too good to be true purchase, but I literally couldn't be happier with it!!!

You get what you pay for here. Very light, good for feet, but not very sturdy as a bench. Handles my 200 pounds ok. The fabric is thin and lasted 20 minutes with our puppy, but we bought this cheap Ottoman anticipating it would be damaged while our puppy grows through its chewing stage. For pet free dwellings this is a good starter piece of furniture but would be surprised if it lasted more than a year or two. Overall a good value.
