It's hard to find face paints that create opaque, thin layer of color. These work exactly as needed. Smooth, consistent coverage with a single stroke by brush or sponge. I'll reorder this brand.I use a barrior spray on top of cosmetic-primer to prevent "staining skin"/ so all the color comes off with 1 wash. Worth the added cost! This pallette offers so many combinations, it's a value for the quality & variety.

I think this is a very nice palette for when you are on the go and don't have space to take all your paints. Or when you are just starting out and want to try a lot of different colors, without paying too much. The cups/containers were a little bit smaller than I thought they would be, but with the width a little bit smaller than a regular splitcake container they actually have a perfect fit: still wide enough for a 1#, but not too wide for a 3/4#. With a 3/4 # flat brush you can still pick up all the colors in the container. The variety of colors in the palette is really great, no bright neons, but there are colors for every purpose. White and black are good opaque. I tested all the colors on my arm first and removed them again with soap, water and a dry make-up cloth. No stains visible, not even for the darker colors. Only things I liked a little bit less: 1. the red in the 'flame' split cake (yellow/orange/red/black) turned out a little bit pink on the skin, I'd prefer a deep red instead. 2. The pallet goes with two small brushes. There are no sizes on the brushes, but they resemble a round #1, and a flat 1/8#. I don't know why the small flat brush is in there, I would prefer a much wider flat brush so you can really use the split cakes.

This palette is great! The smaller size is perfect because I purchased it to take with me when I travel. The only problem I had is that the individual paint pans don't fit super tight in the holder so they wanted to pop out when I was loading my brush. A minor detail. The black works wonderful for line work, but I had more trouble with the white (whites in general tend to get goopy). The colors are beautiful and very functional. If this was the only palette I had, I could paint a huge variety of designs with it. While the colors are very vibrant, If you are looking for super bright neons, this is not the palette you want. The paint goes on the skin well and washes off really good. No staining. I really like the fact that these paints are gluten free as I am non-celiac gluten sensitive. There are two brushed included with this palette. The round brush will work good for line work, but the small flat brush is a bit of a mystery to me as it is not a size that is very usable. Two sizes of round brushes would've made more sense. If you purchase this palette, you will want to purchase a 3/4" flat brush if you don't already have one as that is the brush this palette is designed to work with. I would highly recommend this palette.

For the price I was hoping for more of each cake color. It is very small and I face paint for my job. They won't last too long. The rainbow cake is a little too subdued in color and the customers usually ask to have other colors added. So I ordered something else to replace using that cake color. Just wish you got more for your money. I do love them still.

I had hired a face painter who canceled last minute for a school event so I did some research and found this product and did it myself. It did not disappoint, I have never done facepainting before and these made me look like I’ve been doing it for years! The quality is AMAZING and it lasts for hours, no cracking or flakiness, it was just perfect. I love this product.

As a professional face painter, I have used many face paints over the past years. I am the designer of the color choices for the KrazeFX palette, and I chose them with the idea in mind of making it a useful small palette tool for professionals or for non-pro individuals who would like to use a affordable, pro-level, high quality face paint when painting their children. (And I would like to add that there are a number of non-pro level face paints that crop up around Halloween which I would not recommend as usable for face painting because they are hard on the skin or will not produce professional results.) I'd like to share some of the photos of work I've done using the Kraze FX palette so far. I love the paints, and I do recommend them for others to use as well. (The Steampunk design also incorporated a large split cake called "Shark" which currently has KrazeFX silver and black in it.)

The size is very small and it's very expensive.

I love the pink pigment and consistency, however the cakes are tiny and are loose in the tray so they pop out constantly they don't stay where they're supposed to. Which makes it difficult to load your brush. I guess for the price I was expecting more paint these will not last long at all. But again pretty colors and consistency just very little paint for the price.
