The outside does not get hot, so safer to teach kids how to cook. I use it to boil water, boil eggs, make scrambled eggs, warm up stakes, pretty much anything the heal delivers to while area nit just to the bottom, so it works faster than cooktop and regular pan or pot. Lid closed well, and has a vent hole, so food doesn’t spill even when boils. Handle is easy to use. Quality is way better than what I expected, way more worth than the price. Durability is also good, we took the pot to Yellow Stone in our luggage and it was fine. We’ve been using it for more than a month, almost 2 months, it still look like brand new.
