XRDS -RF UHF PL-259 to SO239 Female Adapter Connector Pack of 2 (NOT for TVs)

I've been a ham radio operator for over 40 years, I'm a retired electronics engineer and hold an FCC broadcast license. So I'm definitely not a newbie. I was recently trying to track down some issues in feed lines and track them to defective barrel connectors. So I ordered these to see how they compared I must say I was pleasantly surprised I'm used to dealing with very high quality RF connectors from HP and Agilent or roads and Schwartz. All these don't quite reach that standard they also don't cost $125 each.. The machining on these is far better than what you see with most imported RF connectors. Nickel plating seems to be a high quality. But more importantly the adapter seems to meet specifications. The problems with adapters like this is that the center pins Always seem to be out of Spec, either they're too large or too small. So what ends up happening is the center pin makes an intermittent connection because it doesn't have a tight physical connection. These connectors fit well with every PL259 i've tried so far... I've swept them on my Agilent vector network analyzer And the return loss is below 1.5 to 1 up to 440. I like the knurled center section neurald center section as it makes disconnecting the PL259s much easier. Anybody who's used these type of barrel connectors knows that quite often you need to use a pair of channel locks to get the connectors off. These are machined well enough that the knurled Provides enough grip to unscrew the connectors. I've ordered several products from this company and have been extremely happy with just about everything. They are definitely one of the better suppliers.

I was happy when I received my order of XRDS UHF connectors - they are solidly built and attach easily. The only improvement would be if they were made of silver, which is an excellent conductor, but then their cost would likely triple, or more. Very satisfied, will purchase more in the future, and highly recommend to others.

I picked these up so I could connect some jumpers together to make some antenna tuning easier in one of my mobiles. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and heft of these connectors, and they seem to work very well. They have a grip section on them that makes it easy to hold onto while you tighten or loosen your coax for a solid connection, overall if you need these connectors, there's no reason not to get these.

Nice connectors, the knurling is nice and they just would superb. Enough said...
