Power-loomed for resilience, it resists wear, shedding, and fading, making it perfect for busy living spaces. Finished with elegant tassels, this rug offers an easy-care, cozy upgrade that transforms any room into a warm, inviting sanctuary. ## Description The SAFAVIEH Moroccan Tassel Shag 688 collection pairs a geometric motif in ivory & grey with tasselled ends, a bohemian finish on a 2" shag ground. Each rug is power-loomed from polypropylene, dense enough at the base to keep a deep pile sitting flat to the floor. The fiber resists matting, shedding and fading while staying soft enough to sit on. Moroccan Tassel Shag belongs in a living room, bedroom or dorm room furnished with texture rather than polish. ## Features - [DESIGN & PILE]: SAFAVIEH's Moroccan Tassel Shag rug sets a geometric motif in ivory over grey, finished with tasselled ends, and its deep 2" pile is thick, plush and fluffy underfoot in a living room, bedroom or dorm room. - [SOFT UNDERFOOT]: Power-loomed from polypropylene into a 2" pile that holds its surface through high-traffic areas, wearing evenly in an entryway, hallway, home office or dining room. - [EASY CARE]: Vacuum on a raised setting with the beater bar off, and comb tassels straight by hand rather than vacuuming them. - [WHAT TO EXPECT]: Creases relax on their own within a few days laid flat. Some shading across the pile is normal at this depth. A SAFAVIEH rug pad adds grip and keeps the ends from curling. - [TRUSTED BRAND]: For over a century, SAFAVIEH has been synonymous with exceptional quality and timeless design, a legacy carried through four generations. From New York, we offer rugs, furniture, lighting, and decor to help you design a space you love. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07SXSJHJC | | Back Material Type | Jute + Poly Cotton | | Best Sellers Rank | #74,390 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) #987 in Area Rugs | | Brand | SAFAVIEH | | Brand Name | SAFAVIEH | | Color | Ivory/Grey | | Construction Type | Machine Made | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,861 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00889048751750 | | Included Components | Rug | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Dimensions L x W | 120"L x 96"W | | Item Length | 120 inches | | Item Shape | Rectangular | | Item Thickness | 1 inches | | Item Type Name | Area Rugs | | Item Weight | 15 pounds | | Item Width | 96 inches | | Manufacturer | Safavieh | | Material | Polypropylene | | Material Type | Polypropylene | | Model Name | Moroccan Tassel Shag Collection MTS688F | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Occasion | Housewarming | | Other Special Features of the Product | Durable | | Pattern | Trellis | | Pile Height | Shag | | Product Care Instructions | Spot Clean Only | | Room Type | Living Room | | Rug Form Type | Area Rug | | Size | 8' x 10' (Rectangular) | | Style Name | Moroccan | | Theme | Boho | | UPC | 889048751750 | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Weave Type | Braided | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SAFAVIEH - **Item Weight:** 15 pounds - **Material:** Polypropylene - **Size:** 8' x 10' (Rectangular) - **Weave Type:** Braided ## Images ![SAFAVIEH Moroccan Tassel Shag Rug 8'x10', Soft Plush Ivory & Grey MTS688F - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91CZEHuqNfL.jpg) ![SAFAVIEH Moroccan Tassel Shag Rug 8'x10', Soft Plush Ivory & Grey MTS688F - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91bCy8TVhdL.jpg) ![SAFAVIEH Moroccan Tassel Shag Rug 8'x10', Soft Plush Ivory & Grey MTS688F - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81+RPbbY66L.jpg) ![SAFAVIEH Moroccan Tassel Shag Rug 8'x10', Soft Plush Ivory & Grey MTS688F - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8181xI526KL.jpg) ![SAFAVIEH Moroccan Tassel Shag Rug 8'x10', Soft Plush Ivory & Grey MTS688F - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1+P0iVWhxL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How do I get my rug edges to lie flat?** A: Rugs are rolled or folded for safe transit, so creases and curled edges are to be expected. Lay the rug flat, or reverse-roll and the marks will release within a few days. **Q: Why does my rug look different than the photo?** A: Because the fibers lie in one direction, the rug appears lighter from one end and darker from the other, with the tone shifting as you move around it. Room lighting and screen settings can also affect how the color reads. **Q: Why does my rug shed?** A: A little shedding is normal on a new rug, and it subsides within a few days as the loose fibers work their way out.We suggest vacuuming regularly without a beater bar to help it along. **Q: Why does my rug smell?** A: A light scent is normal after a rug has been rolled and wrapped for shipping. Let air circulate through the room and it will fade within a few days. **Q: How do I clean my rug?** A: Vacuum regularly in the direction of the pile, not against it, and skip the beater bar. Blot spills rather than rubbing them. Natural fiber rugs should be shaken out to release dirt and debris, avoid wet cleaning. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/150292958-safavieh-moroccan-tassel-shag-rug-8x10-soft-plush-ivory-grey](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/150292958-safavieh-moroccan-tassel-shag-rug-8x10-soft-plush-ivory-grey) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
