The scales marked on the dividers bear little relationship to the real world. They will be fine for transfering sketches or photos but would be useless for anything of a technical nature requiring accuracy.

Superb piece, beautifully crafted. Solid in the hand but easy to use. Its knocks plastic versions into the weeds.I would suggest you don't waste your money on cheap ones, get this, your art won't be disappointed. PS, watch it doesn't end up in the tool box!! A true mechanics/woodworking or metalworking tool.

It is a really nice piece of kit, very solid and well made.I had to go to the internet to find out how to use it, but once that was done I found it very simple to use, and very useful.

This is top class. The tool works brilliantly. The only downside is the case which should in my opinion enclose the whole instrument. The points are very sharp. To be quite true full, they don't need to be that sharp. But it is a great tool

It arrived late but it seems a quality instrument and should be helpful in portraiture.

Perfect for my artwork. Any negative reviews are usually by professional draughtsman trying to get away with a cheap instrument for their professional work which requires high accuracy !
