does what is required - but bluetooth a little slow
don't get me wrong, it's not bad. Plenty bright, the light cast is good, and the app works. but the problem for me is that the bluetooth always takes a minute to engage, it drains the ipad batteries (because you need to have BT on all the time), and you can only sync it with one device per bulb (at least I couldn't figure out how to control it from multiple apps). Final straw was that it does not currently support any of my android devices. I went on to purchase a wifi enabled set of three bulbs with remote and router gateway that performs much better.I am not returning it, but wouldn't buy another.

It's just horrible. Tried on Android and iOS
On the paper, those bulbs met all my requirements: no hub, 60W and 40W equivalent, proximity detection.But man, the app... It's just horrible. Tried on Android and iOS, it keeps crashing, always needs to scan to find the bulbs. No update for over a year! Also, if you turn one off through the app, using a regular switch won't turn it back on! I went with the Awox instead, so far so good (but not perfect either).

Dont Buy, no longer supported by Android or Apple
Do not buy, no app to work Bulb on Android. It has been robed from the play store. It won't work with ios 9 . My last hope was trying it on a old iPhone 4 but that wouldn't work even on ios 7 because it needs to be B.T 4.0 , so I just bought very overpriced light bulbs. This product is a scam and Amazon should have it removed. Stealing people's hard worked money. What a shame.

Do Not Buy
Metal housing attached to the bulb over-heated and melted the bulb. These light bulbs could cause a structural fire when left on for a long period of time. Additionally, the light bulbs do not work as advertised due to the app not being updated or maintained by the company advertising their product. Is anyone here interested in a class action lawsuit pertaining to the sell of faulty merchandise and the overall neglect of the consumers wellbeing.

It's a pretty good light bulb
It's a pretty good light bulb, the software is a big buggy and not clear if it is actively developed as I can't find the app in the Google Play Store and there hasn't been a new release for iOS since 2014.

Useless waste of money.
Rip off. After purchase product was unsupported and now useless. After update of iOS the product was not supported.

Don't buy this product.
Product doesn't work in a 2 floor house. Product software doesn't recognize the units. Is only operable within a small range!!
