MRE (Meals-Ready-To-Eat) Case-Inspection 11/2022 or Better-ACM MRE Case (Case A)

Better than I was expecting
I'm a long haul truck driver. I'm often in a position where food isn't an easy option. Wasn't a big fan of MRE's when I had to eat them, but these are pretty good. There is enough in one bag to sustain me throughout the day.The date on the case I bought was 04/08/20. There is enough variety you shouldn't get bored. The heaters work. I've had MRE's where this wasn't the case, and it sucks. Everything you need (except water) is included. My only concern is there is so much glue holding the flaps of the box down, that they're a bit tough to get to. If this was the end of the world, and I was malnourished and stumbled on a case, I'd starve to death trying to get the case open. I'll take that any day over the case falling apart.

My new "go to" source for MREs
I like to keep a few cases of MREs on hand in case of emergencies. I replace them based upon their age, and I order new rations when needed. As such, I ordered two cases of MREs (A and B cases) from G & P Outlet with a guaranteed inspection date of 11/2022 or better (in this case, meaning later). Both cases arrived nearly a week early and with an inspection date in 2023. The cases are factory sealed and the time and temperature indicators (which helps indicate whether the MREs are good based on storage temperatures, etc) are visible and positive. In the future, G & P Outlet will now be my 'go to' source for MREs.

Solid package, better date than expected
And just to inform most, regardless of expiration date food last much longer than the date suggested. I own a grocery store, most dates are labeled as "Best buy" meaning it's at its best tasting up until that date does not mean it's not edible or unsafe to eat after that date. I know these are made to withstand a little extra time than the normal Foods we buy at the grocery store. Believe me I live off of expired food because I can't sell most of it once it expires.

Product good, MRE date format very confusing
Was disconcerted to find the date 0294 on the box. February 1994? That’s crazy! Turns out no, it’s Oct 20, 2020, mre uses a weird date format - first number is last digit of year, then next theee are julien date. Seems like a bad choice but the mres are <2 yo, and can’t wait to eat em

Edible
Ate 2 of the MREs didn't get sick. Tasted the same as it did when I was in the military.

Good meals but way overpriced
Great meals but the price is just too high to buy more often

The worst meals
Guess I didn't realize they would be packing a pot-luck case of the worst MREs ever created from the "pizza" to a burrito to the anal-fire-inducing italian sausage. Gone are the good old days of chicken a-al king or beef stew.Boughy this case pre-hurricane as a backup. Moving forward, I'll take my chances with the cat food and our neighbor's fruit trees.

Must have for the outdoors
Great dealing with this company. Mres are fresh as they could be. Have ordered case A and B from them and both came in factory sealed boxes with bands. Will be ordering from them again. Must have item from the truck and back pack
