They are meant to be worn my riders in wind and cold . In contrast.. THIS HWK is MUCH thinner than all Schotts (Keep in mind that the Schott Perfectos have NO padding and rely on their heavily built structure for protection. whereas these HWKS have the removable padding. This lighter build of the HWK could be viewed as a downside, however. This jacket though, is solid, has that nice, slim fit that I want without it being too short.
