been using this to slow down a zip line. It has 2 large (like 4') springs. The rubber inserts/bumpers on the outer one wore out from hitting the trolly so i added this. The trolly now hits it squarely and the springs compress correctly. So far it is holding up really well. Very easy to assemble and use. Functionally perfect . Only thing i could have used for my application is maybe a smaller bore but i think it lets it move more easily. a smaller bore might allow me to get some bite on the cable to slow them down that way as well. Overall I'm very pleased. this is a good quality product and a really good value vs my other options. I think my 200' zipline sees far more use and impacts than most winches so i would gladly install this on my next winch. I'll buy another if the time comes...

Does its job just fine, but I just don't care for the split design. I ended up getting a solid one and replacing it. This is a good option though, if you don't want to hassle with re-spooling your cable.

works great, this is the second one i bought, easy to hook up installs in minutes and it looks pretty cool too would def recommend, the first ones been on my machine for years and its still holding up pretty goods

Fits unit

A little tricky to get the screws started but that helps it fit better and hold nicely. Allows me to pull my winch hook up tight and keeps the hook from rattling.

This simple item works very well to keep the cable on my winch from being damaged and causing further damage to other components. Good value!
