Always buy your boxes on Prime, and always buy a protection plan.
It only works on wifi and that means I lose over half my bandwidth even on my 5ghz network. I have a 2 plus year old box that I can hardline and get over 100mbs. Will not go down in quality for a newer ORS. The cpu is slow as well. I only downloaded my vpn and speed test never even got to check out or download many APKs. The ones that are preinstalled are outdated no access. Live tv net was the only one that opened for use and that is not even an APK that I use. I have tested so many of these boxes and I have found the best cpu { for me } is the old s912 amlogic octa core . The boxes I tested with the 905x2 or the 3318 or 3328 have had issues with connectivity. There are not many left with the s912 amlogic octa core processor, for those of you who hardwire you know what I am talking about. The whole key to these boxes are finding the best link and using the right player, this is for little to no buffering and high quality picture. The best APKs I have found are the updated ones on filelinked. Finding the best filelinked store is key. If an APK does not work like you think it should uninstall it, just go to setting or open up ES file explorer click on the APK and click uninstall. I am like most of you youtube is full of ads and all you want is to know how to fix your problem. Most of them are paid by some company to sell a hunk of junk to you, all I know is these boxes work for me and these boxes don't. I just ordered 2 more boxes they will be here today. I will review them and hope I can keep them both. All I can say of the boxes I received with those cpu,s I had to return, this is my experience. Your,s maybe different. Make sure the box you received specs match the specs on the webpage. I found more than 1 product description on the same page. Like 4gb of ddr4 ram and 4gb of ddr3 ram on the same product.

Not recommended. Horrible ethernet and wifi download speeds. Won't do 4k streaming
The unit itself is nice and the layout is decent and allows for some customization. It showed itself as a pixel when I logged in and got the message about a new login. It will go to the store and use pretty much any app.*HOWEVER*, it will NOT stream 4k video from YouTube, etc. It only has a 100mbit ethernet and 121mb wifi link. The speed test only gives about 40mbit down and I have 225mbit down internet. My phone, in the same room, will connect at 243mbit to the router and I get the entire 225mbit down on the exact same speed test to the exact same server using the exact same app. There is only about 2 seconds of buffer at 4k. No way to use a wifi dingle on a android TV box either and I shouldn't have to.

Some startup observations
UPDATE: As I feared, it does not maintain an internet connection. I have to periodicallyreset the connection to DHCP. Very annoying and one star less than before. This is a preliminary review just to note a few issues. I've only had it for one day and haven't had time for a full review. Here's what I've noticed so far:1) It connected to my wired internet automatically but then lost the connection and wouldn't reconnect. Finally fixed it by setting the connection to DHCP. But this raises the questing why to it connect initially and then not. Will it stay permanently on DHCP. If not it will have to be returned.2) It apparently came with Kodi installed but was nowhere in the apps menus. Resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling. It seems it was under a different name.3) It appears to shut the screen off when not in use. Not a problem but disconcerting till I realized what was going on.More info as I get more experience.

Overall nice purchase.
This is my first such device, so please consider that when reading this review. I have been having troubles with cable companies so looking for alternatives. I bought this model based on reviews here and elsewhere about compatibility and quality. I use it primarily with the following apps/services: Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube TV (not the regular YouTube). The unit itself seems well made, and has several USB ports which I use to connect a mouse and keyboard. The controller that came with the unit is very basic. It does not allow pause, FF, or rewind (this might be true of all such devices???). An external mouse is this unit's best friend. Without that , I would have returned it 2nd day.YouTube/YouTube TVThe regular YouTube app works great, I had no issues using or navigating around even with the controller. However, YouTube TV (paid subscription which is like cable on the internet) had many issues. The controller does not allow me to get to the side or top menus (these do work on the free YouTube app). Sometimes when scrolling a list, the selected item isnt highlighted so you cannot see where you are (but scrolling still works), and sometimes the navigation doesnt work at all. All of these issues go away when using a mouse. NOTE: If you plan to use this device for YouTube TV, you cannot watch LIVE TV shows. I sent an email to Bqeel support and they informed me that only devices whitelisted by YouTube could use this feature, and this was not one of them. It works when I use regular PC over internet.Netflix.Controller works most of the time, but does hang sometimes. I reach for the mouse when that happens, as the mouse is reliable,Amazon Prime.Controller works but sometimes the selected item isnt highlighted. Again, the mouse always works here also.I would probably give a 3 1/2* rating, but since I cannot, I gave it a 4 since it is meeting most of my needs now except for the LIVE YouTube TV. I just have to keep my mouse in one hand and controller in the other. :-)UPDATE (12/2/2019)I just found that it also is not compatible with Disney+. I decided to try the Firestick since it was only $20, and everything worked right out of the box. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube TV, AND Disney+. I wont downgrade my rating but this Bqeel will NOT be used anymore.
