No, the iStir™ function would not be recommended to mix up a package of ground meat. We recommend roughly crumbling the ground meat first and then placing the meat on the bottom of the slow cooker. You then would add your other ingredients and stir well before closing the lid with the iStir™ attachment to begin your slow cooking. The Crock-Pot® Digital Slow Cooker with iStir™ Stirring System also works great for pasta dishes and stroganoffs. Thank you for your question.
