This thing is fun!!
So fun to use. Shoots far like a typical nerf rival gun does. It holds 5 balls. Accurate shooting toy. I actuality bought it for myself at 40 yo. 😅 I had to compete with my son. He has 2 bigger rival guns

The KRONOS is an industry mainstay
I love the Kronos. It's super reliable, and the ergonomics are great. I own five of them (2 red, 1 blue, one shark design, and this green one).If you don't own any RIVAL guns and you're interested in getting into the hobby, the Kronos is an excellent entry-level blaster. And if you decided that you want to buy a more competitive blaster after that, the Kronos makes an excellent sidearm. When I bought this green Kronos it was defective, but the seller replaced it immediately. Great customer service.==========================================UPDATE: I have now purchased 12 different NERF RIVAL Kronos blasters. While I love the aesthetics of the new custom paint jobs that launched in 2022 (shark, teal, and green), I have sadly seen a sharp decline in the quality of the product. 7 of my Kronos blasters were purchased in the original red or blue form. Of those 7 blasters, 7 of of them work great. But I've purchased the new teal model twice, and one of them was so defective the ammo goes about two feet before hitting the ground. I bought two green ones, and it was the same story: one defective, one fine. I purchased the shark model, and it worked fine for a few months, but became fairly inconsistent after that.So if you haven't purchased a Kronos before, I'd recommend only getting one of the original red or blue models. They are certainly more expensive, but they're also much less likely to be a defective lemon. My review score for those original models is still 5 stars, but the new paint jobs are more like a 2 star product. Very very sad.

Loads of fun for the whole neighborhood
The NERF Rival Kronos XVIII-500 can be a lot of fun to play with, especially for those who enjoy competitive and fast-paced shooting games. Here are some reasons why it can be enjoyable:1. Precision and Accuracy: NERF Rival blasters are known for their accuracy and precision, making it satisfying to aim and shoot at targets or opponents.2. High-Quality Build: The Kronos XVIII-500 is typically well-built and durable, designed for intense play and capable of withstanding rough handling.3. Competitive Gameplay: NERF Rival blasters are often used in competitive and team-based games, adding an element of strategy and excitement to play.4. High-Velocity Rounds: These blasters use foam rounds that are fired at higher velocities compared to standard NERF darts, making battles more intense.5. Manual Operation: The Kronos XVIII-500 is manually operated, requiring users to prime it before each shot, which can be engaging and immersive.6. Compatibility: Rival blasters are often compatible with a range of accessories and other Rival blasters, allowing for customization and versatility in gameplay. However, it's important to note that the enjoyment of any NERF blaster, including the Kronos XVIII-500, depends on personal preferences and the type of games you like to play. Some people may prefer more casual NERF blasters, while others enjoy the competitive nature of Rival blasters. Ultimately, whether it's fun or not depends on your individual interests and how you plan to use it in your playtime.

Solid Blaster
A little hard to cock but it's got punch so that's the trade-off -- not a kids' gun. CRAZY accurate at 30 feet for a Nerf blaster. Consistently hits within 3-4 inches of the laser mark.My only real complaint is that the trigger lock is terrible - it does not work...I need to pull out on it and push very hard downward to get it to lock. Because this gun MUST be cocked to load, this means I have a loaded, cocked weapon with a sketchy trigger lock. Not a great combo.

Completely defective ammo doesn't leave the barrel
Got this as a gift long after the return by date so there was nothing that could be done. These are defective and dont fire at all. The ammo just gets jammed in the barrel and a second shot is needed to clear it out. After doing more research into it is a known issue among the nerf online community that these all most all of these special painted kronos from amazon don't work. Im a big fan of the kronos and this is actually my 4th blaster but unfortunately this one is for display only

QC isn't great but when it works it works.
I bought a few of these and one of them most likely had a defect in manufacturing as getting it to shoot cleanly was impossible as it took 2 times pulling back the slide and only traveled at like 10 fps when shot. I tried opening it and couldn't find any obvious issues. The ones that do work are great and shoot with a high enough velocity to to sting if getting hit anywhere. It is kind of hard to pull back as it is spring action, so it probably isn't recommended for kids less than 10 (age rating is 14+).

Definitely more intense and impressive nerf gun
I got this as a gift for a kid for Christmas. They sent us videos of them laughing and playing with it and it was crazy impressive!Quality:This nerf gun definitely has some bite to it's bark if you know what I mean. This thing shoots far and hard! It is perfect for an older kid that wants a step up from his average nerf gun. Think an in between for a nerf gun and a bb gun. He is 10 and he loves this thing! His friends also think it is really cool. My husband and him will have nerf gun wars with it and my husband even enjoys them (he is 28).Price:The price point is great considering you get a better nerf gun for the price of a normal nerf gun! Super reasonable and I think it makes a great gift for the kids in your lives. If I received it as a gift, I would think it was more expensive than it actually is.
