Davis Lewis Orchards Natural Slices, Ginger, 8 Ounce

Good flavor- not too strong or bitter. I like eating this as a snack but have also used in baking and the flavor was still good.

I may have gotten a bad lot, none of the other reviewers had my complaint. I loved the flavor, but the texture was terrible. When I chewed the ginger the flavor was great but after chewing there was a fibrous/thread like residue in my mouth that could not be chewed up. I was left with the choice of swallowing the lump or splitting it out, neither choice was appealing to me. I would not buy again

I've been on a quest to try all the crystallized gingers here on Amazon. So far most seem to be on the sweeter side rather than spicy, which is fine but I prefer to taste the 'heat' in my ginger. This brand definitely does! It is more spicy than sweet but still does have some sweetness to it. It is also very soft unlike some other brands that I have tried that are too tough and stringy. If you are looking for the same qualities as I am in a crystallized ginger look no further! Also this is a good value as similar packages run more money or give you less ounces. 5 stars all the way!

I'd say I loved them, however, they were a little too hot for me personally. However, the flavor was good and they were fresh. Gave them to a neighbor and they are very pleased with the product. They use a lot of ginger in their cooking as well as snacks. I order a lot of banana chips from Davis Lewis and have never gotten a bad carton...only problem is they don't last as I can't stop nibbling on them!

Love this ginger. I eat it every day especially after a heavy meal and it seems to help settle my stomach. I would rather chew on this then "candy" which isn't healthy! These are nice big pieces as well. There is a small amount of sugar on the pieces, but I still feel that is better then eating pure sugar in the form of unhealthy candy treats.

These taste horrible. Do not buy!
