I've always had a spool of extension cord in my garage for many DIY projects but it was always a pain to unwind and wind again. Not a hard task but just annoying enough to make me try this product. It was definitely worth the money! I mounted mine to the center of my ceiling in a double garage. It reaches all areas of the garage and also stretches out into my driveway for the dusty work like sanding and sawing I prefer not to do in our garage. Sometimes the catch doesn't work as well as I'd like and you have to play a bit to get it to stay at the length you want but I'd say that is definitely the exception and not the norm when using this. Overall, very happy with this addition to my workspace.

UPDATE 9/'26 - I have a habit of giving 5 stars for anything that works properly, and performs as advertised. And this 50ft retractable extension literally passes with flying colors! In the video, I have it plugged into a gas powered inverter which is powering the flame lights. (Don't mind the AC puddle 😅) I also hook up a bar with 4 LED par lights and a laser, which wasn't pictured in this particular video . As a traveling DJ, I won't be using the wall bracket. The retractable cord itself hasn't had any issues, mostly because it retains it's flexibility in temps above 50°. I also DJ from my show truck in good weather, so I don't plan on using it outdoors below 50°, and will update on it's performance with a gas powered generator 🤘⚡

Writing this review after owningn this for about 6 months. Feels good quality. I like the cord, its nice and flexible, even when its cold out. The retract works very well. I have it mounted to the ceiling of my garage which seems to be a good solution. My only complaint is that it has a breaker that is a bit undersized or oversensitive. If I plug two items into it that are drawing a lot of current, the breaker trips (for example, a shop vac and a battery charger for an electric motorcycle, or two battery chargers).

I will NEVER use another hose. This has made our lives so much easier! We don't have the time, effort, or energy to be able to wind up a hose. This is so easy to use. The value for the money is beyond words. The retracting is super easy to use! The build quality is amazing and the size is absolutely perfect! The looks are super aesthetic as well!

Durable, easy to use, nice looking will be buying again!

If you just built a garage like we did, the ceiling plug is awesome. Plugs are great on the walls but if you don't like cords all over the floor , this retractable electric cord is awesome. It is easy to install and it keeps it out of your way and out of the water when your cleaning the car. Make sure you put an outlet on the ceiling or you will have to mount it on the wall where an outlet is.

Really solid product, I looked everywhere locally and couldn’t find anything that was of any sufficient quality. I’m very happy that I went with this and didn’t settle. Quite heavy, includes everything you need for installation. Love the built in pop out fuse, saves me flipping breakers.

Easy to mount on garage wall. Retracts smoothly. Has a lock feature so the cord will stay at wanted length. Saves space with minimal effort.
