Great Product. Excellent filter.
I have a dog so I like changing out my filter very often. Expensive to do with Hepa Filters which were the only ones that worked and needed replacing more often than 3 months.I bought this filter and it is fantastic. Fits perfectly. Not hard to clean. I spray it with Krud Kutter, let it sit for a minute than hose it off really well, stand it up outside to dry. Takes no time at all. And the $$ I save is well worth the 5 minutes cleaning it takes. Highly recommend.

Great filters and saves money in the long run
My HVAC tech that did pm on my previous home said that the numbers he saw with his testing were outstanding with the filters in place. He was really impressed. So, when I moved, I wanted to get these again. It's nice not having to store extra filters laying around (my tech recommended pleated filters of any kind but change MONTHLY regardless of what marketing says on packaging stating 3 months or whatever). I used to get the cheap true blue ones from menards and buy them in bulk when they went on sale. I don't miss needing a place to sit all of them. But at any rate, these are environmentally a great solution in that they're reusable. I wouldn't buy them for an old furnace that may die and be replaced with another that requires a different size but if your furnace is new or a few years old, don't hesitate to get these. Worth noting: when I bought these about a month back, Amazon didn't have the cleaner available for them. I ended up buying it from Walmart's website, so I really hope it's not being discontinued and was just a supply chain issue. I left my old bottle at my old house for the new home owners and was bummed to shell out like $17 for a new bottle when my other was nearly full. It really shouldn't be THAT expensive but it lasts forever because it doesn't use much to clean them each time. Anyway, these filters are the best I've ever used and I'll continue to buy them if needed in the future (new furnace or if I move), so I really hope K&N keeps making them.

This is an outstanding product, not surprised coming from K&N though
Works fantastic, I have a sensor that tells me when to replace the filter (or clean it in this instance) normal premium filters last 3-4 months with regular use, this one went 6 months (probably more) but I had insulation installed which contaminated the vent and ended up in the filter... So there's that. Otherwise, it's an outstanding product, cleaned it and ready to go again! I bought 2 of them to swap between cleans.

Noisy
When the unit turns off, they have metal edges that make popping noises when they drop back on to the filter cover. I will screw them down. If your not handy these may not be for you

Cleanable!
I use K&N in all my vehicles, this indoor "air filter" also being cleanable and will last forever is wonderful. The airflow thru this is much greater than the paper store bought filters.

Good quality, but too restrictive for my 96% furnace. Overheats/shuts down
Have a newer 96% Amana on natural gas. Mid Michigan.I really like these filters, but my furnace's twin 12x20x1 intakes filter thru the wall, using the space between the stud wall as a duct. The wall cavity doesn't seem to allow for enough airflow, and these Merv 11 filters tip the furnace over the edge, so to speak, and it continuously overheats and shuts down for extended periods. I then have to go outside, enter the cellar under the house, and reset the furnace switch. Removing both filters solved the overheating/air restriction issue, and furnace hasn't missed a beat.If my home were larger and had appropriately sized ducting, I don't think my twin intake setup would be as restrictive, but who knows. House is 636sqft, which doesn't leave many hvac duct options. I'll be going back to Merv 5 or 8 standard pleated filters. Really liked the idea of reusing the K&N's, but oh well. I'll be keeping these and will speak to the company that did the original install when it's time for a cleaning/inspection. HVAC guys usually push those blue or green floss filters you can see straight through, citing increased airflow. I have a dog, and want to protect my system from chugging too much dust.Bottom line: filters caught lots of dust and pet dander. Just make sure your duct work and filter(s) have enough square footage to move enough air volume to keep your high efficiency furnace from overheating. Like many folks say, if air quality is what you're after, buy a standalone air purifier.
