Two Button, 5 pin, Lift Chair or Power Recliner Hand Control

I replaced the original remote with this one. It was easy to install. Works great!

My husband is disabled and has a "no name brand" lift chair. It began not responding when he'd try to make it go up or down about a week ago. We thought we were going to have to replace it, which we can't afford to do right now. Since it seemed to be an issue with the control, I asked him to unplug it so that I could see what type of connection it had. I searched on here and most of them were really expensive, especially for something that I didn't even know would solve the problem. Then, I saw this controller and the price was very reasonable. I decided that it was worth it to take a chance since it had great reviews. It arrived the next day (!) and we plugged it in. Voila! It works perfectly! This really saved us a lot of money and effort. I am thrilled with this purchase and highly recommend it.

This is a definitely good product as it worked on my mom's lift chair with ease. As I've had it over a year now and it is still working fine. Easy plug-in and play I highly recommend this product

Item works very well

Lasted 6 years before failing. Worked well, compatible with my La z Boy lift chair. Needed reinforcing as cable enters control. Good, sturdy and functional control. Only problem I encountered was cable fraying at entry point to control box rendering the unit inoperative. Buying a second one. In the In the 17 years I have owned and used my lift chair daily I have had to replace the hand control four times, about every 5 to 6 years. Just got my new control (3/21/25) and it is NOT like the prior model, quite a bit bigger, a little awkward to use. I liked the more compact model but this new one is OK. Plugged right in and seems to work fine. Noted the cable entry point to hand control is exactly the same as my old one and that is the weak part of this unit; repeated bending of the cable at the entry point causes fraying and eventual failure. Planned obsolescence?

I have to admit, I had my doubts... I recently “saved” my great-grandmothers ancient 35 year old Pride lift chair. However, after plugging it in, it automatically reclined and got stuck there due to the remote being broken. I thought all was lost... But nowadays I check Amazon right away when stuff like this comes up, and sure enough there were several replacement remotes to choose from. The actual Pride brand replacement was available and guaranteed to work but cost $89.99, more than I wanted to spend. Always thrifty, I came across this little bad boy, and decided to give it a shot at less than $14. Got it today, plugged it in...and it didn’t work. Figured it was either a bum remote or the motor died, so I started looking around inside and found that the connector pin end of the cable has two little extended knobs on the outside that were preventing it from being fully inserted. I had to unplug both the new remote and the power source to the motor, then plugged in the remote first to make sure it fit. It did, so I tried to plug in the power to the motor and had to force it in order to make it go in. It did, and I held my breath in anticipation as I prepared to press the button... And it worked!!! Like a charm, and for $80 less. Couldn’t be happier. If you have any issues with this, I would recommend first either forcing it like I did or removing those little knobs somehow. Oh, and the item was exactly as described, the connection is a 5-pin half-circle and it was straight, not at a right angle. Would definitely recommend, you helped me make a relic like brand new!

I brought a power lift recliner for my wife. It recline and even lift up the seat to help her stand. Then one day it stopped. The wire to the switch got caught in the leg rest and was cut. Replaced it with a new switch and the chair works again. Just keep the line from getting caught up in the leg rest.

My father's lift chair was no longer usable as the controller no longer worked and he was straddling the foot rest and shuffling to get up and having to "fall" into the chair. Installing the new controller took only minutes and I only needed a Phillips screwdriver to do the job and a couple of cable ties to secure the cord. The only issue I had was that the new unit had a somewhat shorter cord so I had to kitty corner it a bit under the chair.

It was easy to install and worked as needed. Now the chairs foot rest isn’t stuck up in the air .
