Comes in handy when no shops are open.
This is a great item to keep in your car. I ran over a screw on my way out of work one day & noticed it when I pulled into my driveway. Plugged it & filled up the tire with air from my compressor. Definitely came in handy when no shops were open at that time. Also paid for itself on the first use. Last time I got a tire plug it cost me $20. One thing you should consider is getting a pair of diagonal cutting pliers to keep with the set. It makes it much easier to remove the screw or nail.

Works as expected
These plugs work as expected. As a bonus, they come with some extra valve stems and caps. They also come with some strange metal and plastic plugs that do not look like something I would trust. I've seen the screw in plugs that are coated with the same substance that is on the string plugs. These extra cone shaped plugs are not like that. I would not use them. The insertion tool comes with a spare piece in case you bend the original during use. There are plenty of strings. Enough to last most people decades.

Well worth it
Lives in my vehicle. Fix a puncture in situ when it is unsafe to jack the vehicle. A must have when going bush. Remember, you only have one spare tyre under normal circumstances and two seperate punctures will disable your vehicle
