My question is, are these supposed to just sit on the floor? Is there a frame I have to buy? First time buying a water bed, so just curious.

This liner is for a wood frame waterbed and must be in a wood frame to hold the water in place.

Is this for a regular kingvor a california king?

What is the thickness (in mils) of the vinyl used in this liner?

In mils, it is thin. However, the strength of the material is far greater than the old thick vinyl of the past. A far superior liner. And I was in the waterbed industry many years ago.

Why are the sides only 7"?

The sides are 7" to allow for tour side rails. I have had water beds for 40, years. I just replaced my liner after 29 years. The sides are the same height as my original one. Any higher and my side rails would hit the liner.
