Petmate 290206 Aspen Pet Oval Cuddler Pet Bed, 20" x 16", Chocolate Brown

This is an excellent buy (I'm reviewing the small PetMate oval bed - brown fabric). I have two poodle puppies, and I use the beds upstairs and down. As a new puppy-parent, I purchased several bed options, including some that are far more expensive, and these are by far the best. At first, the babies used the same one, and they could fit perfectly. They can still fit in one bed together, but sometimes prefer to hang out separately (or to play "hoard the toys" from each other). These are cute-cute-cute, great for giving pets a "snuggle" feeling, and the fabric is so soft (a suede feel, but not actual suede). I've washed the beds a few times (house-training time, y'know) and they hold up beautifully - look like new. I actually ordered a few more of these beds, because they're affordable, I can wash them but still have two in use, and they're a great size. I machine wash on a "bulky items" cycle, medium spin, warm wash & cold rinse. They dry fairly quickly (delicate or ultra-delicate cycle, or even "air dry" will do it) and I sometimes let them finish drying in the open air when they're almost completely dry. In contrast, I bought a cute bed from a major pet store chain & it is not holding up well at all. I also bought a comfy-looking bed (from Amazon) with a fluffy fabric. The puppies enjoy it, but after one wash, it looks like last-year's discount-store, faux-fur sweater. Both of these beds were twice or more the cost of this bed (PetMate). Buy it!

In hindsight, maybe it was a mistake to get my dog a "cuddler" bed. When I first presented her with her new bed, she immediately tried to eat it. Then she tried to flip it over in order to lie on the flat side. She's not the smartest dog. But she did finally figure out how to use it correctly and has pretty much been living in it ever since. She used to beg for cuddles all the time while I was trying to work, but now even when I want to cuddle with her she will only tolerate it for a minute or two before going back to her nest. I'm a little surprised at the reviews saying the bed is too small. My terrier mix is 18-lb and measures 16" long from between shoulder blades to base of her tail. Except for one of her ears (see pics attached), she fits perfectly inside the walls of this bed. Sometimes I even find chew toys in there with her.

This bed became an instant favorite among my 4 cats. The size is good, not too large and not too small. A lot of cat beds seem to be sized for kittens, but even my large 17-pound guy can fit in this one (he does hang over the edge a bit, using the rim as a pillow). This bed is fairly "flat" compared to a couple others I have -- the rim is not so high or as heavily padded, and the bottom of the bed is padded rather than having a separate removable pad. I'm reserving a star on the rating until I see how it holds up in the washing machine. The fabric feels a little thin, like a cheap robe fleece. (I bought this to replace a bed from a different manufacturer that exploded in the washer -- fabric ripped along a seam with stuffing everywhere....)

We ended up purchasing two for our little princess. She enjoyed them and loved sleeping on them.

Great dog bed for price

Our Toy Poodle is 7lbs and he barely fits in this bed... I got this bed because our dog likes to be in the kitchen with us when we are in there & the floor is cold & hard.. I put this bed where he likes to sit and he is using it so I would say it is serving its purpose. Excellent price. It is great for short term use. If you need a bed for longer use like sleeping for the whole night then you have to spend some more money and purchase a larger and deeper bed for your pet.

My Barney seemed to know the Amazon box I received that day was his because he started doing his happy dance while I opened it. He could hardly contain himself until I put it down and he jumped right in and just loves his bed. I tried to get him out so I could move it but he was having none of that, I was finally able to move it when he finally got out for dinner. It is small just as it is listed with measurements shown so I was expecting that. (Never could understand negative reviews based on item size not the item itself, and the issue is usually because the buyer didn't read closely the listed measurements, because it is usually followed by "I was so surprised it was to big/small, are there so we are informed buyers right) I think it might look a bit smaller because it is so fluffy and not flat. The center circle is very plush and thick and the color is nice, I got the brown outside with beige on the inside. I don't have to wonder where he might be catching 40 winks anymore because I can always find him snuggled happily in his bed. Would definitely purchase again and highly recommend if your looking for a small bed for your very small puppy. Will try to send photo to.

Y'know, I really love those soft, kind of furry round beds, but my two small dogs are the seriously focused bed diggers! Those of you who have digger dogs, know what I am talking about! Diggers can shred a fuzzy-soft bed in a day. It's just not financially feasible to have that many beds on hand! I can't get the beds that have the bottom that is removable either - same issue with the digging. That bottom cushion will end up half-way across the room. So an all-in-one bed piece that the material is sturdy enough to stand up to daily digging and is a SMALL bed - no point in having a huge bed for a 7 pound dog! I threw away the last bed that I hoped would work, but so far this one is absolutely perfect as I have watched the frenzied digging and this bed is standing up to that. AND THAT is what I needed most for my little furkid!

Smaller than expected, can only fit ‘maximum 3-4 kg dogs. It was broken within a day. I returned it

This is a nice cuddle bed for a small dog. It is nicely made and was a hit with my dog.

Compre la cama hace tres años y ha salido excelente.. Lavable y de muy buena calidad!! Lo que no entiendo es porque la compré a un precio considerable y ahora está carisisima!!!! Más de $2000 Será un error?

Me gusto mucho, es de tamaño chico recomendable para un chihuahua o razas pequeñas, viene alcochonada. Solo no me gusto que la compre antes del buen fin y ahora ponga que ese es el precio “oferta” cuando en realidad no, sigue siendo el mismo :(

Great quality and value! My dog is a papillon and this fits him perfectly. He loves it.
