Tools need to be sent out sharper
This came in already dull, but luckily my sharpener came today as well so I got to use it. The tool itself works great when sharper

Good tool.
Good tool. Worked out of box with a light honing. Piece of 3000 grit sandpaper around end of finger and 4 0r 5 swipes and done. Works well with a hook knife for spoon work. Good steel.

Gouge
Bonne gouge, de bonne qualité, mérite de finir l'affûtage mais utilisable quand même dès la réception. Je recommande a ceux qui commence la sculpture

Well Made and Razor Sharp
Great tool, both sturdy and razor sharp right out of the box. The blade profile is perfect. I'll certainly bear Beaver Craft products in mind in the future.
