Excellent book. Chock full of new ideas and things ...
Excellent book. Chock full of new ideas and things I did not know about JS. Not a beginners book and not for someone who wants to learn JS. But, great for someone who already knows JS and wants to sharpen their skills and explore a few aspects of JS they might know nothing about.

A must for any wanna be JS programmer.
This book covers a wide range of must know JS topics. iI does this in a concise, pointed style leaving you at a good starting point for further study into the subject matter.

This is a good book for JavaScript
This is a good book for JavaScript. It covers all the elements of the language. After using to learn the language, it is an excellent reference. It is good for both the beginner and experienced user of JavaScript.

Unreadable
This book was printed terribly. All words have some terrible shadow on them that prevents me from reading them.

Excellent cookbook with lots of recipes
This book (over 600+ pages!) is roughly divided into two halfs. The first half focus on "traditional" JavaScript -- browser and webpages. Lots of recipes on jQuery, XMLHttpRequest/AJAX, DOM manipulation, etc. Also introduces useful tools just JSHint and QUnit. The second half focus on "modern" JavaScript -- ES6, Node.js, modules, Bower, Grunt, Express, etc. This is what I am interested in.Definitely not a beginner's book. Best for someone who has worked with JavaScript for a while, and want to understand the rest of the JavaScript ecosystem. Be prepared to spend 15+ hours to go thru the code and even more time to go thru the technologies in depth.
