Making large batches of chicken soup is much easier with this basket. Can fit a whole carcass in the pot and I don't have to worry about straining out loose chicken bones from the soup.

This is a well made item. Big, so if used to make soup or stock you probably need about a 4-5 quart pot min. I use it to separate shrimp shells and chicken bones from the vegetables when making stock or noodle soup base. There's enough holes so the flavor permeates well but you do need to lift it up to drain the concentrated liquid out about every 30 to 60 minutes. I bought the smaller one also for 3 quart pots.

Product as described but one of the three latches broke after second use. It is still usable but a little disappointed.
