$7 could save you hundreds.
This tool set is almost perfect! I’ll start with a little background... I am tech savvy for the most part, and I refurbish my own electronics, as well as stuff for friends and family from time to time. My MacBook Pro was bogged down by a “feature” known as thermal throttling. When older thermal paste dries up, it fails to conduct heat as well, so performance takes a nose dive in favor of preservation. I’m not entirely sure if Apple actually does this servicing upon request, or not, but I honestly wouldn’t think that they do. So, after figuring out what was going on with my laptop, I rolled up my sleeves, brought out the few electronics tools I had around, and proceeded to gut my MacBook. Bad idea. You ever hear that saying about not bringing a knife to a gunfight? It went about that well. Long story short, I busted a clip off of the motherboard that would have held the keyboard ribbon cable in place, and you can’t really just replace the clip on a motherboard, you have to replace the entire board. If I had this tool set in time for that repair, I could have saved the cost of replacing the board. That said, these arrived in time for me to do the motherboard swap, and before I did (managed to upgrade to the i7 processor from the i5, a mild boost in performance I’m sure.) I made sure to once again, remove the heat sync, and remove the old thermal paste, replacing it with fresh TG-7. My geekbench scores now come in above what is average for the i7 version of my MacBook Pro. Above average is virtually unheard of. It’s like a brand new machine. But these tools, if you attempt to do a repair without them, you could end up costing yourself a few hundred extra dollars. Learn from my mistake! My only negatives here are for the durability and sturdiness, because I feel like the plastic spudger thing is definitely going to break eventually at the sharp pointy side. I don’t trust the plastic much. Other than that, the kit is well worth it, and every Mac enthusiast who plans to repair their own machine should really have it.

Great little kit, all metal, much better than what you'd expect at that price

Tool set That really was useful
This kit is great for MacBook. Had to get the back off 3 old laptops to recycle and it had all the Screwdrivers I needed. Plus an added bonus of a tool to pry off the back. The screw drivers were also magnetic.

Handy toolset for Apple products
Bought this toolset when I realized I needed to crack open my son's Macbook Pro to do some cleaning. When I flipped it over, saw that it needed pentalobe screws, and I didn't have that tool. Wound up buying this set based on reviews and price. The actual tools are ok. The tips have small burrs on them so they're not perfectly clean, but it worked well enough as long as I was perpendicular to the screws. When opening the laptop up, the only thing missing is a "spacer" to help pop off some of the internal fasteners. I wound up using the long Black plastic tool to help force it. The quality of the tools are good enough if you only need to get in there occasionally. But I'm a bit dubious about how long they'll last in the end.

High quality for low price
I had to remove the SSD from my 2015 MacBook Pro. The SSD had died but was still under warranty, and I was told to remove it and return it. They said it had very small Philips screws -- nope it did not! Had teeny tiny 5-star headed screws! Found this kit on Amazon, and purchased at its incredibly low price, although we only needed the screwdriver. The green plastic hook did come in handy, though, in lifting the SSD from its compartment. We were amazed at the quality! My husband is a woodworker and fix-anything kind of guy, has always has lots of tool in his shop. He was really impressed with the quality. Of course, it occurs to me that we haven't replaced the new SSD yet. So if the tool breaks during that process, I'll update my review. Otherwise, even for just using the screwdriver and the hook, this price and quality so far, is excellent!

Exactly what I needed
I noticed an issue with overheating with my MacBook Pro (2016 A1706 13-inch with Touch Bar) for the past few months. Bought some canned compressed air but the vents are so strangely placed, I knew I wasn't getting to clean the fans. Got a quote from the local Apple dealer for them to take a look-too expensive. I used to open the back of my old Dell all the time for cleaning so I knew it wasn't worth the big bucks. So one day, I flipped over the laptop, tiny screwdrivers in hand only to see the weirdest screw head I've ever seen...what on earth is up with those screws?? I got to Googling and figured out I needed a whole new type of screwdriver..argh. Well played Apple, well played. As usual it was Amazon to the rescue and even though the description was not the clearest on this item, it was very well priced so I figured what the heck. Screwdrivers arrived today and I was way more excited than I should have been to clean a laptop because the set is just too cute! Tiny little screwdrivers along with a little brush, cloth, tweezers and two plastic thingies I don't know the name of. All very well packaged and sealed in a little ziplock. The 1.2x25mm Pentalobe screwdriver is the one I needed for my device but there are two larger Pentalobes and two Philips head screwdrivers as well. Worked like a charm! Easy to use, the grip is very well placed so it's comfortable on the fingers to turn it and the screws came out and went back in very easily. I noticed no magnetic quality to the screwdriver so I was VERY careful not to drop one of the screws because they are super tiny. All in all, a very good purchase!
