I velcro taped mine to the back of a desk area which also houses a server and you do not even know it is there and it is not in danger of falling at all. Great product if you are not trying to get more out of it than it is capable of giving. And at $15 you really cannot beat that. It provides 8 ports that allow you to expand your network. I have my router that has 4 wired ports, which were quickly filled. So I plugged a cable from my router to the switch and then the switch allows me to have more ports. Its kinda like an extension cord for your ethernet. That being said you need to plug a router into this switch to work properly. It will not work without a router to route the data thru the switch to the right place. It has been running 24x7 for months now without any incident. I have other TP Link products that have also worked great for me. I recommend this switch if you want to wire your house with a hard wired internet. I keep my wireless turned off almost all the time, as it may negatively affect your health.
